Unsuccessful interviews can lead to future success! Being a Technical Resourcer at LSC, specialising in C&Q/Validation for the pharmaceutical industry, I've seen many candidates face the sting of an unsuccessful interview. But here's a silver lining: leaving a good impression can open doors to future opportunities. It's all about how you present yourself, your professionalism, and the connection you build during the interview process. I've had numerous instances where candidates didn't get the contract role initially but were re-engaged for future positions because they left a positive mark. Remember, an interview is not just about landing the job; it's also about networking and creating lasting professional relationships. 1. Networking and Referrals: A strong interview performance often leads to recommendations within professional networks, emphasising the importance of building connections even if you don't land the role. 2. Soft Skills Valuation: Companies are increasingly prioritising soft skills and cultural fit over technical ability alone, paving the way for future opportunities if you make a memorable impression. 3. Continual Learning and Upskilling: Candidates who show a commitment to continuous improvement and learning are more likely to be reconsidered for future roles. Leaving a great impression can resonate longer than the interview itself. Don't be disheartened by immediate results - your professional demeanour can set you up for future success. Feel free to reach out to me to discuss C&Q opportunities in the Life Science industry in Ireland/Denmark. #CareerGrowth #PharmaceuticalJobs

🎯 Ready for a healthcare job interview? It's time to shine and showcase your skills. Here are some practical tips to help you prepare: 🔷 **Know the Role:** Before stepping into that interview room, make sure you understand the job description inside out. Research the specific responsibilities and skills required. This will help you align your experiences and qualifications with what they are looking for. Tailor your answers to demonstrate how your background fits the role perfectly. 🔷 **Understand the Organisation:** Spend some time researching the company. For instance, at Care More Recruitment, we pride ourselves on providing an exemplary level of service in Medical, Healthcare, and Nursing Recruitment. Show that you know the company's values, mission, and recent achievements. This shows initiative and lets the interviewers see you're genuinely interested in their organisation. 🔷 **Prepare for Common Questions:** You can expect to be asked about your previous experience, specific scenarios related to patient care, or how you handle stressful situations. Practise your responses, focusing on clear examples that showcase your expertise. Remember, it's not just about what you did, but how you did it and what the outcomes were. Feeling STUCK is not a feeling anyone wants as a #jobseeker. Pinpointing WHERE in the process you are getting stuck can help. Last week's poll revealed that over 2/3 of you feel like you are stuck in the application process, meaning - You are NOT getting interviews. I cannot promise that I have all the answers. But- If you are an experienced #medicalaffairs professional, it may be that the company is not reviewing direct applicants. You may want to reach out to recruiters (like us The Carolan Group) for potential assistance. If you are an #aspiringmsl, you may need a coach or help showcasing your transferable skills. You may want to consider a program like The Aspire MSL Program to get you where you want to be. Thank you as always for participating in the weekly poll! #aspiremsl #medicalscienceliaison #pharmacist

It’s unfortunate, but there’s this one thing that most entry level candidates get wrong during the interview process. And it’s this… They are sharing why they’d love this job, versus why they’d actually be good or have potential for this job. Although it’s no crime or a bad answer to want to be passionate about a career path, you have to be able to back it up with being able to connect the dots as to why you’d be good at the role. This means doing the following: 📘 Reading through the job description to understand the role to its fullest 📙 Asking the recruiter for clarification on anything in the job description you aren’t sure of or clear on 📕 Digesting and fully comprehending the “Qualification” and “Responsibilities” bullet point sections of a job description 📗 Having stories, or examples of how you worked through relevant challenges or projects via experience which could help you thrive in this opportunity 📓The Takeaway Remember, always come prepared to interviews and phone screens, and always be ready to showcase your curiosity and potential by doing your research Hope this helps! Your friendly nieghborhood recruiter, David Peña

First month in recruitment complete 💪 So, what have I been up to? - Building relationships with lots of graduates and discussing their options for a career in recruitment ✅ - Booked my first few interviews, extensively prepped my candidates which has subsequently led to second interviews for next week ✅ - Growing my network with candidates who I hope to be able to help in the future ✅ - Asking every candidate I speak with for a referral.✅ What have I learnt so far? 1. Honesty is always the best policy - only promise candidates what you can 100% deliver 2. Never cut corners on the basics and perform these to a high standard, regardless. 3. Speed, Speed, Speed – my days of being the first one on the phone chasing a lead has come to good use! 😉 4. Shadowing my Directors has been the best way to learn! 5. Recruitment is a rollercoaster – be prepared for the lows as well as the highs 🎢 Enjoying the journey so far and can’t wait to see what the next few weeks has in store! #edmundandevans #rec2rec #recruitmentagency #graduates #graduated

Are you showcasing the right skills in your biotech job search? As a recruiter, I often see candidates focus heavily on their technical skills - which are absolutely crucial in biotech - but overlook the soft skills that are just as important to employers. It can be difficult to demonstrate things like communication, teamwork, and adaptability on a CV, but these are often the deciding factors in interviews. Here’s how you can better showcase your soft skills: 1️⃣ Use Examples: When describing your experience, include situations where soft skills played a key role. For example, highlight a time you resolved a conflict, led a team, or communicated complex ideas to non-experts. 2️⃣ Tailor to the Role: Look at the job description and pick out the soft skills mentioned. Be sure to demonstrate how you’ve used those skills in your previous roles. 3️⃣ Let Your CV Reflect You: The way your CV is structured - clear, concise, and focused - can itself be a reflection of your communication skills. Keep it professional, but make sure it feels like you. What’s one soft skill you’ve found crucial in your career growth? 💡 #RecruitmentTips #BiotechCareers #JobSearchAdvice #SoftSkills

Nailing Your Healthcare Job Interview! 🌟 In the healthcare sector, first impressions can make all the difference. Preparation is key to demonstrating not only your technical competence but also your commitment to patient care and teamwork. First, get to know the employer thoroughly. Investigate their values, mission, and recent news or advancements in their field. This will help you align your responses to show you're a perfect fit. Don't forget to review the job description carefully, and be ready to discuss how your experience and skills match their requirements. Next, practise situational and behavioural questions. These often focus on scenarios where you had to use problem-solving skills or handle stressful situations. Reflect on past experiences where you've demonstrated empathy, leadership, or adaptability - essential traits in healthcare. Finally, remember the human touch - your interpersonal skills are just as important as your medical knowledge. Whether it's engaging in small talk at the beginning or showing genuine interest in the interviewer's insights about the role, these soft skills make a big impact.
