Happy Help Day everyone! So, in addition to the "Job Search" stuff and the "Leadership Coaching During the Job Search" stuff, A few months back I dipped my toe into the world of audiobook narration, mostly because I already owned the microphone. ;-) To my pleasant surprise I landed a couple of business books very quickly (just got final payment on my first book this morning, actually), and am even starting a voice acting class next week at a local studio that I signed up for before my Recent Career Developments. I probably won't get rich or even make enough for it to be a day job, but it's enough income to lengthen my runway right now, and to be a few extra bucks in the retirement fund once I settle into whatever my new normal is. (and between you and me, the fact that neither book has anything to do with higher ed has been downright therapeutic the last few weeks). Which leads me to my weekly request for help. Are you writing a book? Do you know anyone who is? Are you/they considering turning it into an audiobook? If so, I'd love to know more. And now--your turn. Is there anything we can help you with? If so, let us know, or reach out to me privately if you'd rather be anonymous. Ken Mills Blessing Omadibi Okpah CLN Lola Bradley Shivanthi Anandan David “Dr. L” LaFazia, Ed.D.
How did you get into audiobook narration? Sounds like a neat experience!
