"Redirect Chains and Redirect Loops are the silent killers of your website's SEO, reputation, and user experience" Yes. You read it right. A redirect chain happens when a web browser sends multiple redirect instructions before reaching the final destination. For example, a user trying to access URL A is first redirected to URL B and then to URL C. This series of redirects can slow down your site, create a poor user experience, and confuse search engines. 1. Redirect Chain: Page 1 > Page 2 > Page 3 > Page 4 (Creates issues like slow loading speed, loss of crawl budget, bad user experience). 2. Redirect Loop: Page 1 > Page 2 > Page 3 > Page 1 and so on...... (The page gets stuck in an infinite loop and never loads. Loss of crawl budget and extremely bad user experience). 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐇𝐮𝐫𝐭 𝐒𝐄𝐎? 1. Redirect chains slow down page load times, which can lead to lower rankings on SERPs. 2. They dilute "link juice," the value passed from one page to another through hyperlinks. 3. Cause delayed crawling. Making it harder for search engines to index your site. I use Screaming Frog to find redirect chains and redirect loops in a website. It's free for crawling up to 500 URLs. 🎠 See the Carousal how I find Redirect Chains and Redirect Loops in a website and how to fix them 🎠 Don't have time to analyze and fix technical SEO issues? Let's dive into the world of SEO. 🌐 - Over a decade ago, I took a week off to immerse myself in SEO learning abroad. Already a self-taught front-end web designer, I knew SEO was the missing piece of the puzzle. - Fast forward 10 years, and today I'm crafting websites that outrank giants like Amazon and Pets at Home for high search volume key phrases. 🚀 - SEO agencies frequently reach out, pointing out this and that about my websites. But here's the catch - I could identify negative SEO points about any website. - The real question is, how's your ranking? 🎯 - SEO remains a controversial field. Everyone claims to be an expert, each touting their own "best practices." But in the end, the results do the talking. - So, let's talk SEO. Let's talk about the reality, not the theory. Let's talk about results, not promises. - Because in the world of SEO, the proof is in the pudding. 🍮 - #seo #google #marketing

I know, you want to get that new website live, but here's the thing... Setting a website live without engaging an SEO first is a BIG mistake. Wait, Let me rephrase that... DESIGNING your new website without engaging an SEO first can is a BIG mistake. A month or so ago, I created a post sharing all the reasons why SEO should be involved early in the new website process. (I'll link that post in the comments) In the comments there's a discussion between me and Harley Helmer. He told me about a company who lost nearly a quarter million dollars in 90 days as a result of redesigning without consulting SEO. A QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS. Like me, Harley has seen his fair share of website migration fails. He went on to write this cracking piece for Search Engine Land. He shares common pitfalls and how to avoid it. As requested, he dropped into my LinkedIn messenger the other day, I had asked to read it after hearing about the epic fail he witnessed. The article is great. A must—read for anyone thinking about migrating a website in 2024. https://lnkd.in/eGWCVrJS
