$100k --> $5m It took him three years. “How Do I Grow on LinkedIn?” I get asked two questions daily: How do I generate leads on LinkedIn? How do I grow my audience? You’ve heard the generic answers: - Post every day - Post 50 comments a day - Write for one person - Other boring bullshit That is the long, slow, terrible way to grow. People won’t follow you: - for no reason. - because you asked them to. - because your carousels look nice. In order to ATTRACT, you must be ATTRACTIVE. We are attracted to people who are: Funny Helpful Creative Inspiring Authentic Successful Interesting Doing big things There’s no right answer. It is different for everyone. Fery Kaszoni is a case study in how to do it right. He runs Search Intelligence - an incredibly successful digital PR agency that generates backlinks for their clients from some of the largest media sites in the world. Most SEO folks on LinkedIn share case studies full of graphs and numbers. That works ok, but it’s not going to set the world on fire. Fery combines creativity and humour to showcase his company’s service in a way that makes you laugh…but also makes you want what he’s selling. This strategy has paid off handsomely for Fery and his team. They quickly grew from $100k to millions in annual revenue, and he is regularly invited to speak on stage at the most prestigious SEO events on the planet. Fery is a category of one in the SEO world.  No one else comes close. ___ What could you do differently? How can you create your own category of one? What’s your version of Fery talking Rose out of jumping to her death by sharing how successful her digital PR has been? Q+A with Fery Kaszoni in the comments. ___

QUESTIONS FOR FERY (2) 𝐒𝐁 - 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧? 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐭? The content changed our business as everyone in the SEO industry is talking about us, and we went from £100K revenue in 2020 to £5.5 million in 2023, and we’ll break that number in 2024. 𝐒𝐁 - 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲, 𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐝𝐈𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞? Test lots of concepts and styles, and see what fits you. Humour is best as it appeals to the widest range of audiences - we all love a good laugh and clever humour. Set to post 50 concepts, before you make any decision on what style you’ll adopt, and even when you adopt a style, keep on twisting, changing and experimenting. Your content must contain two elements: extreme value, and entertainment. If you can combine both, you’ll have a growing audience and unlimited friends, who will turn into clients when they’ll need a service like yours.

QUESTIONS FOR FERY (1) 𝐒𝐁 - 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬? FK - I started in 2021, when I thought if we could capture people’s attention with very good entertainment, we would then have permission to show our service in between the plots. 𝐒𝐁 - 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲? 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞? This strategy changed our business and made us the largest and most known digital PR agency in the world. 𝐒𝐁 - 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐲? FK - The key learning was that if you are a CEO and a founder of a larger company, you should not think that the world expects you to show up in videos in a suit with your Rolex watches, with perfect skin or hair to impress potential clients.  You can have ripped T-Shirts, dirty trainers, and even a wig. If you provide extreme education, extreme value, and manage to make people feel good, you will make thousands of friends for life, and you’ll have unlimited clients.

Attracting attention isn’t about following the crowd—it’s about standing out. To grow, you have to be more than helpful or authentic. Be interesting, be creative, be unique. Like Fery Kaszoni, find a way to present your value that connects emotionally while showcasing what sets you apart. Stop trying to fit in and start creating your own category. The best way to grow is by being unforgettable.
