DO THE DAMN THING! 💪🏼 Last January I had one of the best starts to the year I’d ever had… but it didn’t come without some stress and anxiety because I was 100% out of my comfort zone pretty much the whole month! 😂 🙌🏼 In December 2023 a bunch of opportunities were put in front of me. ⭐️“We are hosting a business day for photographers and we want you to do a marketing seminar.” 🎙️“I’d love to have you on my podcast!” 💻“Do you do any freelance work? I need your help.” 🎤And a personal one….”We'd love you to do a reading at our wedding.” 😅 OMG that is a lot of public speaking and new experiences! I’m so, super grateful for every opportunity that came my way in January but… yeah, it was a lot. However, once I got over the scaries and pushed through I was so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and didn’t stick my head in the sand. ✨Now we are in February✨ ♥️I’m now hosting my 2nd marketing seminar tomorrow and feeling confident and excited. ♥️I did the podcast. (Coming out in Spring) ♥️I have my first freelance client. (More on this coming soon!) …. and I did the reading. 🥰 Number one lesson from this! Feel the fear and do it anyway, you’ll thank yourself in the long run. I know it can feel scary but the accomplished feeling you get afterwards far outweighs it. ♥️💪🏼 What’s the best thing you’ve done for yourself lately? 👇🏼 #marketing #marketingmanager #freelance #publicspeaking #podcast #comfortzone #socialmediamanagement #marketinglife #marketingeducation

There are countless tools to choose from when creating a podcast. I've tried lots of them over the last three years so you don't have to. Here are the 3 tools that I choose to create and publish my podcast every week. 🚀 1 - SquadCast.fm by Descript 🚀 Squadcast has become my go-to in-browser remote recording software. We tried virtually every platform out there and for our needs, this was perfect. The interface is pretty and easy to use, we've had no issues with bugs and it records in the high quality we need. Last year Squadcast joined Descript so both tools now come bundled which made the choice even easier. 🎥 2 - Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve 🎥 Davinci is film industry standard video editing software with a free version that is feature-packed. After each recording, I vision switch between myself, my cohost, and a 3rd split screen of us both. The Fairlight Audio system also delivers what I need to do intricate audio processing. I can rely on a single software to export processed video and audio. The final color grading tools are also a great bonus for that professional look I want on our show. 🎨 3 - Canva 🎨 We use Canva for all our YouTube Thumbnails and Social Media Memes. My co-host John has no Photoshop experience and began using Canva only a few months ago. He was able to pick up the technical side in no time which allowed him to unleash his creativity. We have become total Canva fanboys like so many others. 🌟Let me know if you'd like some more info on the hardware we use and the platforms we use to distribute.🌟

Changing vendors can feel intimidating, especially when you don’t fully understand what you’re getting from your current provider. But the reality is, it’s not that difficult—there’s more communication at the beginning to resolve old issues, but once those are sorted out, things run smoothly. In this video, I explain why switching service providers is less daunting than it seems and why addressing unresolved issues can actually make things better in the long run.
