Schools have a hidden curriculum. Beyond academics, schools impart a hidden curriculum that can shape children's values and beliefs. This hidden curriculum includes social norms, attitudes, and behaviors that are implicitly taught through the school environment and interactions. Parents need to be aware of these influences and actively engage in discussions with their children about what they are learning at school. By doing so, parents can reinforce their own values and provide a balanced perspective that helps children navigate these external influences. The alternative, of course, is the better choice: homeschooling your kids protects them from this hidden curriculum and allows you to instill your own values into them.
