RW Energy’s Post

🌊 🌱 TotalEnergies and Equinor are teaming up with Techouse AS and SINTEF Energy Research on a groundbreaking decarbonization project aimed at retrofitting offshore installations with innovative combined cycle technology. The project’s goal is to develop a compact once-through steam generator (OTSG), which could boost power output by 30-33% while cutting emissions by up to 150,000 tons annually per installation. As Techouse CEO Svein Helge Pettersen noted, “This joint industry project will make our OTSG even lighter and smaller so that it can be installed on even more offshore installations.” 🚢💨 With a budget of over NOK 60 million and a target completion date of 2025, this project signifies a major step toward cleaner energy in offshore operations. 🔋✨ Pål Kloster, Sales and Business Development Director at Techouse, emphasized the importance of this lightweight solution: “A smaller lightweight solution will increase the likelihood of adaptation of CCPP on offshore installations.” This initiative has received NOK 12 million in funding from the Norwegian Research Council and could lead to a significant reduction in fuel consumption and carbon emissions. 🌍🌟 #RenewableEnergy #Decarbonization #OffshoreInnovation #TotalEnergies #Equinor #Techouse #SustainableFuture https://lnkd.in/gHXj7FGU
