✨Having a Positive Mindset✨ This post is basically about a job I had applied for earlier this month. It was for a company in the UK and although I did not get a mail starting with "Congratulations", I have decided to focus on the positive side. This, being that I was shortlisted as part of the Top 20 applicants out of 600+. It must have been no easy fit, because the creativity of designers is so broad and execution is a whole other topic. Different people can receive a design task and interpret it in various simple to complex ways. I believe that this would always be the designers' advantage over AI. I am definitely a little sad about not getting the role, but rather than dwell on that, I have decided to dwell on being part of the 20, and to broaden my experience to be #1 at a different company. I also think it is important that I go back to this task and work on areas that the feedback received applies to. Now to some kinda good news. Today, I start a 2-month internship with a company in Dubai, and I hope to increase the length and breadth of my corporate design knowledge here. As a designer, I have come to find that aesthetics can only go so far, as some companies simply only care about functionality. Wish me luck in this new role! I guess I will see you all in my next post, and probably share what I submitted for this job that just wasn't mine to have. Have you also had to deal with a similar experience? How did you handle it? #uiux #userinterface #jobsearching #rejectionmail #positivemindset #uidesigner #intern
Amazing!👏👏
