I stand for a thriving world, for a world where all peoples thrive in sustainable and just balance with each other and our planet. Today, I'm reminded that I'm not defined by political labels or trends, by people's opinions or by lines on a map. I am bound by my commitment to participating in building a world that works. What about you? Today you may be feeling ecstatic or crushed, depending on how the recent events in the American politics align or conflict with your beliefs. But, maybe the only belief worth betting on is the belief that we can work together to thrive - that we must - because we won't get to thriving by working against each other. Today my country stands divided by confusion, hate, bigotry, sexism, injustice, and a lack of care for our planet... the future feels threatening for anyone who doesn't fit a certain type, and thriving care for people and planet seems impossible. This experiment we call the "United States" has been running for nearly 250 years. It has never been perfect. It has never worked as well as we would all hope. It's attempts to systemize the human condition into an infrastructure of agreements that are fair and functional for all its members frequently fails. How do we get there from here? The only way forward is to keep experimenting - together. This is what the path of evolution looks like. Broken. Contorted. Messy. Stained with the blood of failed experiments, and speckled with the tiny shreds of shining wisdom we've wrenched from the wreckage. We can't give up because the experiment fails. Most of them do. We must start a new one, a slightly better one, based on what we've learned along the way. I'm moving toward thriving. I'm incorporating everything I can learn from each experiment - it's successes and failures - using that wisdom to find a way forward. I've been running an experiment for 14 years, to see if we can find better ways of thriving together. It's a living lab, a network of people from around the globe who are dedicated to building a world where everyone thrives in sustainable and just balance with people and planet. https://TheLuminaria.com/ A place where people from all walks of life gather to serve a core truth: We have to learn to work together to thrive. If you're tired of the fake news, the reality- show conflicts and , the "us vs them" mentality, you can join us. No hidden fees. No hype. If this is not for you, that's just fine. Just consider the beliefs that the people around you... Do they believe in creating a world where everyone can thrive, or just where people like them do?

🌍 In a world striving for profound change, the vision of a future defined by Three Zeros — zero poverty, zero unemployment, and zero carbon net emissions — can only be realized through the power of social business. Inspired by Professor Muhammad Yunus, we understand that our shared goals are far more significant than any individual success. 🤝 At the heart of this movement is the belief that collaboration, rather than competition, holds the key to unlocking transformative solutions. We view similar organizations not as rivals, but as allies in a collective mission. By combining our strengths and resources, we can amplify our impact, drive innovation, and create a sustainable future for all. 💡 Imagine a world where social enterprises unite to tackle pressing challenges together—where every collaboration leads to meaningful change, fostering an ecosystem that nurtures creativity and resilience. In this space, there’s enough room for everyone to thrive, and together, we can build a new paradigm that prioritizes people and the planet. 🌟 By working hand in hand, we can turn the dream of a world with zero poverty, zero carbon emissions and zero unemployment into a tangible reality. Join us in this movement toward a brighter, more equitable future! ✨ Let’s hear from you! Does your company implement collaboration strategies for a bigger purpose? What if we let go of our deepest beliefs about how things work? What if we questioned everything we think or say with: "Is that really true?" "How do I know it’s true?" Imagine considering every idea - no matter how much it conflicts with our instincts - as potentially valid. What if we allowed ourselves to sit in the discomfort of not knowing? Would that be stressful or liberating? For me, it would feel refreshing. Almost rejuvenating. But for you, it might be something else. Either way, stepping into this mindset is essential if we want to evolve how we show up, connect with others, and impact the world. It’s key to changing the trajectory of our lives, our organizations, and our planet. It’s the only way to create outcomes that serve all living beings - not just humans. Why? Because many of our deeply rooted beliefs - like "we are separate from others" - are holding us back. This mindset prevents us from seeing how our actions harm one another, our organizations, and our planet. What if, instead of seeing ourselves as separate, we embraced the idea that everything is connected? Suddenly, the questions become: "How are we connected?" "How are we, together, shaping the world we live in?" From this vantage point, it’s easy to see that many of today’s challenges - suffering, poverty, pollution, climate change - are outcomes of systems we’ve created. Systems we no longer desire. But here's the good news: When we view the world through a regenerative lens, we start to see new possibilities. Shifting from short-term fixes to long-term transformation. Moving from a focus on single causes and their direct effects to creating systems that truly support life. This is what regenerative leadership offers - a new paradigm that has the potential to fundamentally transform how we live, work, and coexist with all living species. If you’re curious about how this shift could change the way we lead, live, and thrive - join us for our upcoming event series: Conversations that Matter. Together, we’ll challenge our current beliefs, question what’s really true, and explore how we can replace outdated ways of thinking with something radically different. I often wonder what will change if I would question my deep-rooted beliefs about what is right and wrong. Am I chasing goals that will actually bring me the satisfaction I hope? Am I doing it in a way that will lead to the results I deeply desire? And on a larger scale, are we, as a society, pursuing ambitions that will genuinely lead to the collective well-being of people and the planet, which I think we all long for in a way? What if we would slow down and rethink what is really important for us and organise our lives, organisations and society in a way that harnesses these values? Is there a way to do things differently? Are we ready to embrace the fears and take the risk of doing things differently without knowing the outcome?

What does it mean to adopt a social impact mindset and how does it help organizations thrive in uncertain times? Across various sectors and geographic regions, multi-national corporations, STEM Societies, industry and professional associations, academic institutions and other affiliated groups are adopting a social impact perspective to differentiate their brands, engage members, grow revenue, open new lines of business, attract and retain top talent, and reshape adversarial regulatory relationships. In The Business of Impact, we see social impact as fundamental to organizational performance and a central part of a holistic purpose strategy that leverages the organization’s expertise to address unmet societal needs. We offer this framework to help you discover the value of having a social impact attitude by shifting your thinking: FROM a perspective that views social impact as exclusive from profitability ➡ ➡ ➡ TO the understanding that impact often reinforces and increases financial performance. FROM a risk-adverse investment posture ➡ ➡ ➡ TO one that assesses and defines an informed level of ROI. FROM acting on a variety of well-meaning initiatives ➡ ➡ ➡ TO driving transformative change on core priorities. FROM solely focusing on defending an industry or protecting a profession ➡ ➡ ➡ TO broadening external cross-sector collaborations for the common good. FROM being reactive to change ➡ ➡ ➡ TO proactively leveraging strengths and pursuing new opportunities that will position organizations for the future. The world is inherently uncertain and there is no full proof way to manage it. Nonetheless, incorporating a social impact perspective into your organization’s business strategy can bring a renewed sense of purpose, offering a distinctive advantage to achieve greater success and significance. Personally, learning to navigate the unpredictability of my health journey these past two years has fueled my growth, realizing that uncertainty offers the opportunity for life to go in different directions, and that is exciting. #ChemE #Corporatesocialresponsibility #Innovation #Manufacturing #Engineering #STEM #Socialimpact #Philanthropy

This perspective, emphasizing the world as a fabric woven from redundancies where space emerges as a scar left by time, compels us to see beyond the immediacy of the present. It suggests that our reality is shaped not just by what exists, but by the potential of what could be—underscoring the importance of nurturing and realizing potentialities that are latent but longing for actualization. This viewpoint has profound implications for problem-solving across various domains: 1. Innovation and Technology: By focusing on the potential, this perspective encourages the pursuit of innovative solutions that are not yet visible but could be transformative if realized. It drives the development of technologies that anticipate future needs and challenges, rather than merely addressing current ones. 2. Environmental Sustainability: Recognizing the world as a manifestation of time's passage and its impact invites a deeper understanding of our environmental responsibilities. It urges us to act in ways that heal and preserve the potential of our planet for future generations, rather than exploiting its current state for immediate gain. 3. Social and Political Change: This approach highlights the power of envisioning and working towards a future that does not yet exist but is desired. It underscores the importance of collective action and long-term strategies in achieving substantial social and political transformations that address underlying issues rather than superficial symptoms. 4. Personal and Professional Development: On a personal level, this perspective inspires individuals to invest in their latent potentials, encouraging lifelong learning and growth. Professionally, it advocates for creating environments that foster innovation and allow for the exploration of uncharted territories, acknowledging that today’s fringe ideas could be tomorrow’s breakthroughs. 💡Understanding the world as a continuum of becoming, marked by the interplay between time and space, shifts our focus from the reactive to the proactive, from what is to what could be. It’s a call to action to embrace the uncertainties of the future as opportunities for meaningful change, driven by the belief in the power of unrealized potential. #Innovation #Sustainability #FutureThinking #PotentialUnleashed #EnvironmentalCare #SocialChange #PoliticalTransformation #LifelongLearning #GrowthMindset #ProactiveChange #EmbracingUncertainty
