The No. 1 Reason for Child death in USA is Gun Violence. As a child psychologist, I am deeply saddened and outraged by the fact that gun violence is the leading cause of death among children and teens in the United States. According to the latest data, there was a 50% increase in the firearm death rate among children and teens from 2019 to 2021. This is a national tragedy and a public health crisis that demands urgent action. Gun violence not only takes the lives of thousands of innocent children and teens every year, but also traumatizes millions more who witness it, know someone who was shot, or live in fear of the next shooting. Gun violence affects the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of our children and undermines their potential to thrive and succeed. As a child psychologist, I know that every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment where they can grow, learn, and play. I also know that we can prevent gun violence and protect our children by implementing evidence-based strategies and policies that reduce access to firearms, promote responsible gun ownership, and address the root causes of violence in our communities. I urge you to join me in raising awareness and advocating for change to end this epidemic of gun violence that is harming our children and our future. Together, we can make a difference and save lives. #EndGunViolence #ProtectOurKids #ChildPsychology #usa🇺🇸 #gun #death #childdeath #viralreels #joyfulchild #parenting #community

Gun violence and school shootings are a tragic reality, highlighting the urgent need for action. These incidents devastate communities, leaving emotional scars on students, families, and society. While discussions around gun control and mental health are critical, real change requires collaboration between lawmakers, educators, and citizens. Schools should be safe places for learning, not fear. Addressing root causes, enhancing security measures, and fostering a culture of empathy can help ensure that students can focus on their future, not their safety. Every life lost to gun violence is a reminder that more must be done. #Crossroadcreatives #AnilPBajaj #AnilBajaj #guncontrol #GunViolence

Our hearts are heavy today as I witness yet another school shooting, this time in Georgia. As both a pediatric provider and a parent, I am grieving alongside the families whose lives have been shattered by this senseless act of violence in what should be a safe place for their children. My thoughts and prayers are with them, but I know we must demand more than that. Gun violence is now the leading cause of death for children and teens in the United States. In 2023 alone, over 42,000 lives were lost due to gun violence, including homicides, suicides, and unintentional shootings. The trauma and fear that these events leave in their wake are immeasurable, not only for the victims but for the entire community. I cannot stand by and allow this cycle to continue. Our children deserve better—better protection, better mental health support, and most importantly, the right to feel safe in their schools. While I deeply respect the right to bear arms, we must come together for common-sense reforms, including stricter laws, a national registry, and policies that prevent firearms from falling into the wrong hands. These are changes that can help prevent today’s tragedy from becoming tomorrow’s reality for other families. It’s time to break this tragic pattern of thoughts, prayers, and inaction. We need to take meaningful steps to protect our children and our communities. Our kids deserve to go to school without fear. #StopTheCycle #ProtectOurChildren #DemandBetter #pediatricpanicole

NEWSFLASH❗ As parents we are responsible and accountable for our children's actions This not about parenting, it's about negligence said the judge. The parents have been given the harshest sentence 10-15 years to deter others in the future. This case casts a light on parents' behaviour and responsibilities. No one expects parents to be perfect but it's so important as parents that we do not ignore or turn away from the warning signs and symptoms. We have a responsibility to our children and to ensure that if there are red flags we do something about it. ❗Don't ignore the warning lights ❗Mental health needs to be take seriously ‼️Misbehaviour needs to be recognised and action taken to provide support before it is too late. ❗Don't collude with you child's misbehaviour ‼️Get your child the help they need in a timely fashion ❗Do not exist in denial about your child's needs ❗You are not your child's friend you are a parent and failure to parent is negligence The parents argued this could happen to anyone - we are not bad parents. Do you agree? If you have questions or any concerns, seek help speak to someone. As parents we have duty to our communities and to our children to keep them safe and to ensure they do not pose a risk to themselves or to others. #parentaccountability #Crumbley #parentalresponsibility #accountability #mentalhealth #youthbehaviour #guns https://lnkd.in/eyCFTwDv
