There's no "I'll do it if you do it" in respect. Building an environment where respect is mutual and intrinsic means initiating it first. It means meeting everyone eye-to-eye and having NO expectation in it being reciprocated.

Sunday musing - get going and then get good. I (like I think almost everyone) have a tendency to not want to do/release something until I'm confident I've got it as close to perfect as possible. But a turning point for me was reading the biographies of some of the greats, and realising that in almost every instance they were willing to take a few L's for the sake of just getting started. The reality is that you don't even know what "perfect" looks like until you get started and see feedback in terms of reviews/conversations/views/$/etc. So you just start with a rough idea of where you want to go, start heading there, and then refine the idea as you receive feedback from the world. Over the last 10 weeks of uploading 1 video per week I've had 3,425 total views and 167.1 hours of total watch time, however 2,204 of those views and 88.1 hours of that watch time came from one ~10 minute video. That's an interesting piece of feedback and tbh I'm not sure what to do with it yet. But I guess the point is that you can't plan for these sorts of things - you just get started, see how the world responds, refine, and keep evolving.
