There are no quick results when it comes to Google Ads...
Sadly some businesses give up too soon on running Google Ads, if they're not delivering results quickly.
Firstly, it's important to consider your business and what you offer.
Selling a product is very different to selling a service. Selling something worth £20 is different to selling something that costs £200 or £2k. Selling something people really need is different to selling something they might not need right now or are more likely to shop around for.
There are many factors to consider.
However, these all come into play when running Google Ads. On top of that you have to consider the following:
- what's the cost per click for my industry? They can be as low as £0.10 or as high as £10!
- how well does my site currently convert? It's hard to convert a site that isn't already converting well.
- how long will it take to convert from initial click to booking? It could be a day before someone buys or it could take several weeks or months if you're a service provider.
- does my landing page convey the right message and entice people to buy / enquire? Sending traffic to your website is one thing but if your landing page is not working hard, this will need to be reviewed and optimised asap.
Understanding the data behind your ads is one of the most important aspects of running ads. It's therefore important to allow enough time to gather the insights to understand what is or isn't working.
