This time, Avon’s Reverse Make-Up Tutorial is a finalist at PRmoment's ESG & Sustainability Awards for Best Campaign or Case Study to Improve Gender Equality. The powerful video turns the transformational journey of a make-up tutorial on its head as we see a woman become increasingly distressed as she is slowly stripped of her make-up by an aggressive perpetrator against a soundtrack of threatening and abusive comments. It was created as part of Avon's support of the United Nation's annual 16 Days of Activity against Gender-Based Violence campaign. #ESGawards #pr #communications #content

For the last two weeks as an Official Delegate for UN Women UK at the 68th Commission on the Status of Women, I've been privy to pivotal conversations about the strides we must take to achieve gender equality. Now that the sessions have wrapped up, swipe to read some of the quotes and facts that stood out 👉 My approach was to ask myself, "What can I do to help?" Therefore, I chose to attend the sessions focusing on media, advertising, and communications, honing in on conversations about improving representation, breaking stereotypes, and changing perceptions. There is a lot of work to do in this area, particularly in tackling toxic masculinity and addressing gender-based violence. People view women’s and men’s professional success differently when organisations commit to gender equality initiatives, new research reveals by WZB Berlin Social Science Center and the University of Cologne. The study showed that when companies value women’s advancement or equal opportunities, women’s success is less likely to be judged as fair or attributed to intelligence and effort than when companies emphasize performance and uniform assessment standards. In contrast, people believe intelligence plays a more decisive role in men’s promotions and view men’s promotions as fairer when organizations value performance principles.
