What’s a really great way to make sure that you involve the right people in the right task, at the right time? Last week our Team Coach Lead, Chris Jackson was co-coaching alongside Terhi Skaniakos from Tiimiakatemia Global Ltd. on their Senior Team Coach programme. They were working with a small team from the Czech Republic who are exploring how they might begin to grow a team learning culture in their organisation. It’s often useful to have a framework or model that can be used to start the conversations needed to action such change. Lisa Ward from Belbin HQ supported Chris by delivering an interactive workshop that introduced the team to their individual and collective roles and helped them to explore and understand how they might use this information to best effect. They also considered whether or not all of Belbin’s nine Team Roles were represented in the team. Using their Belbin Individual reports and completing the Belbin Team Role Circle exercise they were able to identify any gaps, explore what that could mean for team effectiveness and how they might address any gaps. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐃𝐨 𝐈 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐌𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐚 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫? Motivating myself often involves reminding myself, "𝑰 𝒂𝒎 𝒂 𝒉𝒊𝒈𝒉 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒅𝒐 𝒊𝒕." High performers aren't born; they are made through dedication and perseverance. By adopting certain habits and mindsets, anyone can elevate their performance and achieve exceptional results. Here are the 10 traits I see in myself as a high performer. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐦𝐞 8 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧; 𝐈’𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧 2 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬. Here are the traits I see in myself as a high performer: ✔️𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞: I always embrace a growth mindset. ✔️𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: I bounce back from setbacks with determination. ✔️𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: I write down my ambitions and goals. ✔️𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: I organize and protect my time diligently. ✔️𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: I am dedicated to continuous learning.
