ChatGPT and other AI tools are here to stay, whether we like it or not. How do we use them to our best advantage to solve problems and supplement our creative ideas without getting subpar responses? As Gohar points out in this article, “Generative AI helped workers avoid awful ideas, but it also led to more average ideas." The tips outlined here are particularly useful for optimising AI tools. The pointer that stands out the most to me is to "approach AI as an ongoing conversation partner, not an oracle," since we tend to ask a simple question/prompt and take the first answer without furthering the conversation or asking additional specific questions to refine it. Our collaboration with teams and generative AI can significantly enhance our ability to generate innovative ideas more efficiently and effectively.
