While at Cisco, I finally got an interview opportunity with Amazon. It took me 3 weeks to prepare for the DSA rounds. Here’s my strategy: 🔽 ➤ I spent the first two days skimming recent interview experiences to identify common questions. ➤ Then, I created a plan focused on key areas: Trees, Graphs (BFS/DFS), Linked Lists, Hashmaps, and medium-level Dynamic Programming. ➤ I kept a list of previously practised questions to quickly review important ones without wasting time. ➤ I allocated two days per topic, re-solving problems to refresh my memory, and checked LeetCode blogs for optimal solutions. ➤ Simultaneously, I took mock interviews with seniors for feedback, which helped me anticipate questions and clear the rounds smoothly. My Amazon Interview Experience 🔥 I recently had the opportunity to interview for a System Development Engineer, Expansion at Amazon . ✨ Following my initial application, I received a call to discuss the interview process and the specific responsibilities of the SDE, Expansion role. During this conversation, the interviewer provided some constructive feedback on my communication skills. He explained that he would need to discuss my candidacy further with his manager before proceeding to the next stage. ⛔ A few weeks later, I received a call scheduling a formal interview for the position. 📞 Round 1: The phone screen lasted approximately 45-50 minutes, exceeding the initial 30-minute timeframe. We discussed a technical problem involving palindrome identification. ⌛ While I initially focused on solutions for integer values, the interviewer provided valuable guidance by encouraging me to consider the complexities of handling double values and negative numbers as well. ➖ This experience highlighted the importance of considering a wider range of scenarios during problem-solving, particularly regarding edge cases. 🤯 Few days later I received a rejection mail. 💔 While I wasn't offered the position, the experience offered valuable insights: 👉 Preparation is Key: While I didn't receive an offer on this occasion, the interview process highlighted the importance of considering a wider range of scenarios during problem-solving. 👉 Focus on Communication: The interview also emphasized the value of clear and concise communication when discussing technical concepts. #interviewexperience #tech #coding #dsa #interviewquestions #interviewtips #amazon

🚀 My Amazon Front-End Engineer Interview Journey   I recently had the opportunity to interview for the Front-End Engineer role at Amazon, as part of their student programs, it was an intense and insightful process.   🖥️ Round 1: Online Assessment The process began with an online assessment on HackerRank, where I was tasked with solving two coding challenges related to front-end design, followed by a work-style survey. I’m glad to say that I successfully completed all test cases! 🎉   📞 Round 2: Phone Interview Next up was the phone interview. I received the details within a week of my assessment. It was a one-hour interview, and I won’t lie, I was a bit nervous. After all, it’s not every day you get to interview with a FAANG company! But the recruiter was super friendly and helped me feel at ease. The interview was a mix of behavioral and technical questions. 🏁 Final Round: 3 Back-to-Back Interviews After the phone interview, I advanced to the final round—three back-to-back one-hour interviews. These were the most challenging yet exciting part of the process. Every round is combination of behavioral and coding challenges. Each round pushed me to expand my thinking and approach problems from different angles. I managed to solve all the challenges, and the interviewers seemed satisfied with my performance.   🌱 Key Takeaways While I didn’t receive the offer I was hoping for, I gained invaluable insights from both the process and the recruiters. I'm a little annoyed that they didn't provide any feedback, but I'm glad that I was able to go through the process and make the attempt. I’ve grown not just technically, but in my understanding of Amazon’s leadership principles, and I’m grateful for the experience.   💼 I’m open to new opportunities! 🌟 My Amazon SDE New Grad Interview Experience 🌟 I recently had the opportunity to interview for the Amazon SDE New Grad position. The process included an online assessment, a behavioral simulation round, and a final loop with 3 interviews: 2 technical and 1 behavioral. Preparation: To prepare, I focused on: 🔍 LeetCode: Instead of jumping straight into solving problems, I studied each one by first understanding the solutions and recognizing the patterns and approaches to use across different topics. 💻 Computer Science Concepts: Brushing up on key fundamentals was crucial. 📝 Amazon Leadership Principles: I wrote stories for each principle to showcase my experiences. The Interview: 1️⃣ Round 1: A technical question on anagrams (medium level). I solved it using the sliding window approach while explaining my thought process and answering follow-up questions. 2️⃣ Round 2: Behavioral questions like "What is your favorite Amazon product?" and "Describe a time when your expectations were not met." 3️⃣ Round 3: A mix of technical and behavioral. I discussed my favorite project and the times I faced challenges. I fumbled a bit about a data structures question, and the interviewer explained the solution. Key Takeaways: Always communicate your thought process clearly. LeetCode 150 covers most essential patterns and problem types. The interviewers were kind and supportive, which helped keep the experience calm. Outcome: Although I received a rejection within two days, it was an invaluable experience, and it significantly boosted my interview confidence. Onwards and upwards! I recently had the opportunity to interview at Amazon for the SDE Intern position, and it was an exhilarating experience! From the moment the interview began, I was greeted with warmth and friendliness from the interviewers, which instantly put me at ease.During the interview, I was tasked with solving two challenging questions. The first involved deleting a node in a BST, a standard problem that I tackled confidently. I walked the interviewers through my approach, meticulously explaining each step as I coded, which left a positive impression. We even delved into a detailed discussion on time and space complexity, which lasted a rewarding 45 minutes. However, the second question, presented in the final 15 minutes, proved to be more daunting due to time constraints. Despite being able to provide an iterative solution, I stumbled when attempting the recursive approach. It was a tough moment, and I left feeling disappointed😔. In the end, I received a rejection email, which was undoubtedly disheartening💔. Dealing with rejection, especially from a dream company like Amazon, isn't easy. But I firmly believe that every setback is a stepping stone to something greater. Destiny has its own plans, and I am determined to learn from this experience, grow stronger, and pursue new opportunities with even more resilience. Google SDE 2 Interview Experience Recently, my best friend gave an interview and got the job(congrats again!). This post details a 5-round interview experience, offering insights into the types of questions encountered and the skills assessed at each stage. (Long, but worth it) ✅𝗣𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟭 Focused on tough Dynamic programming and trees, a complex problem (Similar: SPOJ - LCA (Lowest Common Ancestor) ✅𝗢𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝟮: DFS and Longest Palindromic Substring (LPS): Medium-difficulty problems tested his ability to think critically and plan effectively under pressure. (Similar problem: A more challenging variant of Minimum Number of Refueling Stops with O(N log N) time complexity) ✅𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝟯 Priority Queue Problems: More than a basic understanding of priority queue operations was required for these medium-hard tasks. ✅𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝟰  Greedy Constructive Algorithm Problems: Required to find clever solutions within constraints, maximizing output or efficiently allocating resources. (Finally, Coding rounds are done)🌡️😮💨 ✅𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝟱 The final round focuses on behavioural questions. Assessing his conflict resolution, situational awareness, teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities is crucial for thriving at Google. No matter what company you're applying for, remember that interviewing is a great chance to learn and grow. It's okay if you don't get selected, learn from your mistakes. I’ve been rejected by Amazon But this was the best thing that happened to me….. While interviewing for Amazon, the second technical round didn’t go as expected. 🙃 → I thought it would be focused on DSA, based on the interview experiences I read. But it turned out to be the opposite. The round lasted 50 minutes and focused on database design, SQL queries, and project discussions. Despite the surprise, I managed to clear it. Let me be honest — most SDEs at top companies are very short on time So, you need to make sure your referral request is short and impactful💯 But I’ve seen that many people miss out on these 2 points and make these mistakes 🔸 Irrelevant Job Id: Recently, I got more than 500 requests. But do you know what was common in most of them? Students from 3rd or 4th year seeking a referral for 2+ YOE role without even sharing a Job ID. 🔸 Incomplete Resume: I have seen many resumes that didn’t have an achievements or project section. Do at least mention recent academic info, experience/projects, achievements and skills. 🔸 No Contact Details: For most requests, the email address was incomplete and the phone number was not there. You should definitely include these in your request.
