Speed is crucial. A few years ago, I was referred to a client. They reached out at 8:37 am on a Saturday morning "avail now?", and I responded immediately and got on a call right away. The role was not suitable for us, so we declined to work on it. Two weeks ago, I received a message at 7:22 pm on a Friday night. I responded immediately and got on a call. By Monday, we had a meeting with our team and theirs. Two weeks later, we had two Senior Tech roles filled with signed offers. We moved fast, and so did they and the candidates. Everyone is invested, prepared, and aligned, and things move quickly. Hiring isn't hard, but people tend to overcomplicate it. #hiring #careers #innovation

🚀 Is Tech Hiring Bouncing Back? 🚀 The past few years have been challenging for the tech industry, especially for my small-business Tech Recruiting firm. We've navigated through some of the toughest times, witnessing significant slowdowns in hiring that impacted many professionals and businesses alike. However, in the last 2-3 weeks, I've observed a noticeable uptick in activity in the tech job market. It seems like the gears are finally beginning to turn again, suggesting that companies might be reigniting their engines for growth. I'm curious --- Are others seeing this trend as well? #TechHiring #TechJobs #IndustryInsights

Some new tips to try in my job search.
Helping an underdog land a job a day @ Wonsulting + WonsultingAI | Forbes 30U30 | FREE resume reviews weekly | Cisco, Google, Snap | Ft: Forbes, NY Times, Insider, CNBC, WSJ | @jonathanwordsofwisdom
LinkedIn: Here's LinkedIn search hacks that I personally used to land offers at Snap, Google, and Cisco (and hope you can too!). 1) Finding Recruiters for your target role: Search "Company + (Field) Recruiter" and filter to people. You'll now find all the recruiters who are recruiting for software engineers. Example: Google Software Engineer Recruiter. 2) Finding Professionals Giving Free Referrals: Search "Referral + Company" and filter to posts. You'll now find every person who works at the company who are willing to give a referral. Example: Referral Deloitte. 3) Finding people Willing to Help: Search "Layoffs + company who recently did layoffs” and filter to posts. Look at posts from employees who recently got laid off and read the comment; You'll find people who are willing to help AND are giving free referrals as well. Example: Layoffs Amazon. 4) Finding Hiring Managers Who are Hiring quickly: Search "Company + Hiring” and filter to people. Find the people who are hiring directly for the company by looking for their headlines saying" We are hiring" or "I am hiring”. Example: Microsoft Hiring. 5) Find High Following Professionals "Willing to Help” posts: Find people in the career space who are using their platforms to get jobseekers hired. For me, I create a LinkedIn poll every Monday to shoutout recruiters hiring managers hiring for voles so my audience of 350K+ can land opportunities. -- Need help on your job search? Why do I do what I do? Because nothing compares to the feeling of helping someone land the job they've been dreaming of after months (sometimes years!) of struggling. I've been fortunate to help talented professionals secure projects with top-tier companies like Google, Cisco, and Microsoft. Every time I help someone break through the hiring barriers, it confirms that I'm on the right path. But here's the truth—the job market is evolving fast. The old methods of applying through job boards and waiting for calls aren’t enough anymore, especially when you're competing with thousands of others, as is often the case in the Indian and Middle Eastern markets. Want to know the secret to cracking the modern hiring process and beating the ATS (Applicant Tracking System) that companies use to filter applications? Let’s connect! I’m here to help you stand out and secure that dream job. #googlejobs #ITjobs #fresherjobs #newopenings

I used to apply to hundreds of companies and not hear back. When others got interview calls from those same companies, it surprised me. I couldn't understand why my application had been rejected or what I did wrong. I realized I needed to learn current hiring trends to keep up with my competition. Here’s what I did. 1. I tried utilizing LinkedIn’s connection requests to understand who is hiring. Out of the 100 connection requests I could send in a week, I sent 75 to people looking for jobs. I typed in prompts on LinkedIn like: “actively seeking fulltime opportunities” “actively seeking fulltime sde opportunities” “actively seeking fulltime swe opportunities ” - I looked for people who commented “I'm interested” or “[their email]” under hiring activity posts. Even if they like/react to posts that mention hiring activity, I found it helpful to have them as connections. - These connections can be helpful since you can see their activity and, thus, the hiring information on your feed. - I also came across different conferences and webinars that helped me in my search. 2. I focused on sending the remaining 25 connection requests to recruiters. I would shortlist specific companies I wanted to work for and search on LinkedIn. I typed in prompts like: recruiter #hiring NVIDIA talent acquisition #hiring Microsoft - I would look for people who post roles or mention that they are hiring or are willing to refer. - Also, if any of these people interacted with my posts, it would show up in their connection’s feed, increasing my profile visibility and my chances of being hired. - Looking at the comment section of these posts also helped me find people actively interacting with hiring opportunities. I would connect with them. - Staying connected with these people allows me to see their activity on my feed and access the links to the job openings they post. If you want to learn more through an interactive session, I am hosting a webinar on job search strategies: https://lnkd.in/ebDqT-mn #jobhunting #techjobs #softwareengineering #msinus

When tech hiring heats up, it's not preceded by a consensus that the market is "heating up." By the time everyone agrees on that, the market has already shifted! Takeaway? If you have open reqs, ensure that complacency about the market doesn't impact your urgency in hiring - especially if you've built ambitious expectations into your candidate profile. #hiring
