Firms keep making the most basic of mistakes when it comes to hiring. Every day someone complains to me about: ❌ Terrible (or often no) communication ❌ Unacceptable turnaround times on decisions ❌ Zero feedback on those decisions ❌ Ghosting (literally unbelievable) And some of these firms even have in-house talent/recruitment teams. If you are hiring directly there are no excuses for this. Because the above is not only damaging to people who want a job (and that process is often crap enough as it is). It's damaging your firm's reputation. It's damaging your ability to hire well. And firms that don't hire well often have a problem with retention. Given that employee costs are typically the biggest costs to a business, you'd think people would want to do this stuff well. Alas, not. Come on peeps, this is easy stuff to sort.
