New Post: Google Ads Tests People Also Browsed Carousel - https://lnkd.in/gapxbMne - Google is also testing this new ad format labeled "People also browsed." I guess this shows you what other products on Google searchers looked at for a similar query and is now showing you ads that match those browser sessions for those queries. - #news #business #world -------------------------------------------------- Download: #Google #Font #Tester - https://lnkd.in/gKAZYbVN

Page Insights is that button you can press while on a website using the Google app to get more details about that web page, I think it was called SGE while browsing. - #news #business #world -------------------------------------------------- Download: Stupid Simple CMS - https://lnkd.in/g4y9XFgR -------------------------------------------------- or download at SourceForge - https://lnkd.in/gNqB7dnp

New Post: Separate Ad Group In Google Ads Can Remove AI-Theming - https://lnkd.in/gx6rJKRY - Ginny Marvin, Google's Ads Liaison, said if you put similar keywords in separate ad groups that can essentially make both eligible to be considered for auction selection. It would essentially remove AI-theming (if that is a word) because they are in different ad groups. - #news #business #world -------------------------------------------------- Download: #Google #Font #Tester - https://lnkd.in/gKAZYbVN

Google just made it easier to turn off personalized search results https://ift.tt/baz2F6t Google makes it easy to turn off personalized search results with an option that sometimes appears at the bottom of the results page, according to Search Engine Roundtable. After searching for something, scroll down the page and find the “Try without personalization” link. Click or tap it, and Google will load a new page without personalized results. The link may not appear in all searches. Some results for me include a message at the end of the results page that already says “Results are not personalized”. This could be a user error – maybe I have other settings that prevent it from appearing, or I’m using the wrong queries. But for some reason, I’ve had to turn off personalized results for searches on my iPhone much more often than on my Mac. “This change makes it easier for users to get an accurate understanding of whether their results have been personalized, and gives them the ability to explore non-personalized results,” spokesperson Ned Adriaans said in a statement. “We also allow people to easily adjust their personalization settings at any time.” Adriaanse adds that “while we used to show this information in the ‘About this result’ section on individual results, this display is more accessible and clearer.” Adriaans also says that the link “gives people the option to temporarily view results that are not personalized” – so note that if you click the link to try results without personalization, you won’t change your personalization settings permanently. You’ve been able to get non-personalized search results for a long time; as reported by the Search Engine Roundtable in 2007, you can see non-personalized results by adding the “&pws=0” parameter to the end of your Google search URL. You can also turn off personalized search in your Google account settings.

Google's Latest Update : Negative Keywords Now Also Block Typos Google's recent update to its search query matching system brings significant changes to how negative keywords are handled. Key Points: -Enhanced precision in understanding user intent. -Advanced machine learning for better context interpretation. -Negative keywords now include typos, reducing irrelevant ad appearances. What this means for you: - Fewer negative keywords needed. - Continuous monitoring is essential. - Refine your negative keyword strategy to align with these updates. What about edge cases? Could the negative brand keyword '-Optmyzr' block ads for the non-brand correct spelling of the word optimizer in searches like 'bid optimizer'? That would be bad for the account's performance. The only way to know if this is happening is to deploy tools like the Rule Engine strategy for 'Declining search terms'. What other edge cases are you worried about? #GoogleAds #PPC

Crucially, this is also going to strip out a lot of the extras that Google has been building into search in the “All” tab, for reasons both customer-facing and profit-driven. In addition to standard advertising, Google has been sticking more and more modules into search, crowding out conventional text-driven web results. This is only going to get more visible with the new Gemini-driven AI additions Google showed off yesterday at Google I/O. And standard users aren’t the only ones who are complaining. The adulteration of “pure” text search with auto-generated results keeps Google users on its own search page, and means less traffic going to the pages where the actual information comes from — like the one you’re reading right now, for example. Google’s follow-up Tweet doesn’t directly address this, but it does hint at it.
