Why would members choose trade associations over any other resource? I spoke with 73 CEOs of large trade associations to find out. here’s the common denominator: ** Deliver targeted value. (Focus on specific member needs) ** Connect members meaningfully. (Facilitate strong member networks) ** Advocate with clear voice. (Lobbying & representing member interests) ** Offer relevant resources. (Provide valuable tools and information) ** Stay ahead of industry trends. (Anticipate and address member challenges) How they did this? -> With the help of data-informed decisions. Why does this matter? -> Successful trade associations deliver focused value & member impact with evolving industry needs, building trust and loyalty. -> Trust is why people choose you. Become the magic-bowl 🔮 (data-driven) that sees industry trends and provides answers for your members.

How Trade Associations Stay Optimistic: "These might be complicated times domestically and globally, but trade associations feel like they’re well-equipped to handle them. The 2024 Trade Association Executive Survey, released last month and produced by Potomac Core - Association Consulting with Edge Research and Vetted Solutions, found that a majority of trade-association CEOs (57 %) rate their organization’s situation as “better,” with another 32 % saying it’s about the same as in the past. Moreover, nearly half of the respondents (49 %) say they believe membership will grow in the coming year, and 57 % say they anticipate revenue to increase. The report is based on an online survey of 146 trade association executives, conducted between February and May of this year." https://lnkd.in/ew5t7Ku5 Associations Now #assnchat

As an association's competitive landscape changes, new entrants will chip away at its value proposition. A well conducted competitive analysis will help clarify what part of that value proposition remains unchallenged (e.g., beyond the ability to network with peers, the sense of community and belonging that membership brings), allowing the association to focus on that unique benefit, and to remind its members of it. https://lnkd.in/g8zUN7bx
