WHEN?: Collecting until Nov 9th, to then stuff that wknd & deliver following week to local Women's Shelters. HOW?: Either drop off at our home (address given thru PM) or msg me for pick-up at 905-320-9945. So peeps, get digging out those bags you no longer use & donate them to help our sisters in need.

Half a dozen boxes out of the storage unit (it's now about 1/2 cleared out). Half a dozen bags of clothes and one bag of shoes taken to the women's shelter for donation--still have probably another half a dozen (plus) to take to the women's shelter again in a few weeks for donation. Slowly organizing the bedroom (since large goal is to turn it into a mini studio apartment by mid-September). Have at least one box of DVDs to sell...and possibly a small box of CDs (still have to sort those). Also have managed to get three loads of laundry done, plus the rest of my to-be accomplished list...as I was dishing up my afternoon snack...realized that I forgot to eat breakfast this morning... Since next week is suppose to be so damn hot...I'll be trying to measure things in the bedroom (figure out how to rearrange things or what needs to be move out) so that come August/Sept I can get the furniture out of the storage unit & into the bedroom. #selfaccountability #decluttering #cleaningoutthestorageunit #organizingthehouse #workingthoughthetodolist #gottastartplanningforsecondhalfof2024 #sciencewriter #contentwriter #healthwriter #medicalwriter #blogger

Items we have the greatest difficulty getting for clients include men’s clothing of all types, larger sizes of women’s clothing, and shoes in good condition for both men and women. Our clients need clothing for all kinds of activities including work, casual and dressy events, sports, and more. With the colder months approaching, there is a particular need for winter boots, coats, fleece jackets, gloves, hats, and scarves. If you are decluttering your closets this fall, please consider donating any winter items you may no longer need to benefit folks in our community. Your donation is most likely to go to a client if it is something you would proudly give to a friend or relative. Good donations are new or gently used, in complete working condition (with no missing buttons, broken zippers, and without tears, stains, or visible wear or damage). Donations should be free from strong odors like perfume, smoke, mothballs, or mustiness, and never wet. For additional information on what and how to donate, visit our website: https://lnkd.in/e5XfMzTP #secondchances #clothingdonation #clothingdrive #cambridgema #somervillema

🧽🪣🛏🧸 Just in time for Mother's Day and spring cleaning, today is National Clean Up Your Room Day! Children often dread this parent-appreciated day. Though, some years like this one, the observance arrives with perfect timing for Mother's Day! However, the observance doesn't only target kids. It is also about picking up, straightening up, and cleaning up the whole house. Adults take spring cleaning seriously, and homes get aired out. They organize, de-clutter, and rearrange. It's time to fix the broken and match up missing parts, like with like. We tackle cluttered closets and donate or throw away those things we no longer use. Take time today to help your children make their beds, clean their rooms, and eliminate the toys and clothing they have outgrown. #May10 #CleanUpYourRoomDay #PeterDeLuca #TucsonsREALTOR #LongRealtyCompany

Let's be honest - Halloween is all about the candy! If you're dreading the inevitable bags and piles of candy that follows a fun night of trick or treating fear not! We've got your back with 3 tips of how to repurpose that Halloween candy in fun and healthy ways: 1. Donate to a Local Organization: Many organizations, such as shelters, food banks, and military groups, accept candy donations. This is a great way to give back to the community and ensure the candy doesn't go to waste. 2. Create a Candy Bartering System: Set up a system where children can trade candy for privileges, such as extra screen time, a special outing, or a desired toy. This helps them learn about delayed gratification and decision-making. 3. Save Candy to decorate Gingerbread Houses in the Winter months
