Have you ever wondered what somatic coaching is? At The Somatic School we define coaching as follows: “Partnering in a co-creative process of enquiry in service to the potential which is seeking to emerge in the life of the client.” There are multiple forms of somatic coaching. They all share a similar understanding that real, meaningful progress in coaching can come from including the body’s wisdom in our decision making and way of being in the world. At The Somatic School, we offer a unique coaching framework called Body-Oriented Coaching which draws on a range of process-oriented ways of working including Focusing, Hakomi, Constellations, Organic Intelligence, Interpersonal Neurobiology and the perennial knowledge of the Wisdom Traditions. This all adds up to an effective, impactful and enjoyable integrative way of working. Have a read of this article authored by our fabulous Community & BD Manager Meryl Rowlands and that I was happy to edit together here on The Somatic School’s Substack: #coachtraining #somatic #somaticcoaching #lifecoaching #education #coacheducation #coaching #body #somatics #transformationalcoaching

Are You a Spiritual Warrior? SPIRITUAL WARRIORS… Integrate ‘Mindfulness’ into Their Daily Life. [Hu Note] The way the term “warrior” is used here does not mean aggressive actions. It refers to you BE-ing a spiritually powerful warrior that keeps your ego-intellect in check and uses it as an empowering servant. Being mindful doesn’t mean you need to spend ten hours a day meditating. It means to remain Consciously Conscious throughout your day about the distinction between who you are “Spirit” from the voice inside your head- your ego-intellect. Think of your Self as a “Conscious Householder” who practices paying attention when you’re engaged in your daily activities. When you're washing the dishes, wash the dishes, and try not to let your mind wander to the past or future. When you're eating, make eating into a meditative act. When you’re walking, walk, and pay attention to the ground under each step. In my coaching practice, I utilize several different tools and trainings as needed within the coaching container. One of those tools in brainspotting. What is Brainspotting? Brainspotting is based on the belief that certain eye positions can evoke emotions, sensations, and memories because they access specific 'brainspots' where traumatic memories are stored. Brainspotting is a tool that aims to help clients process difficult emotions or traumatic experiences. In brainspotting, different eye positions help identify “brainspots” linked to certain experiences, emotions, or sources of distress. Once identified, individuals trained in brainspotting use mindfulness techniques to help the client access, experience, and process the thoughts and feelings stored in this brainspot. Not only have I experienced this in my own life, but I have witnessed the breakthrough and freedom in my clients lives as well. If you are ready to take the next step to breakthrough and healing in your life, send me a private message to schedule a free 1 hour discovery call! today!

Free coaching time! Thomas Edison's greatest insights came from holding two ball bearings as he sat in a chair pondering a big question. As he drifted off to sleep, the balls would fall from his hands and make a loud noise as they hit the floor. As he awoke, he noticed that new insights arrived. Today, neuroscience research has informed why this works... Edison was putting his brain in a state of hypnagogic consciousness. Right at the edge of sleep your brain waves change. They slow down. And in this state, we are able to tap into more creative, intuitive thoughts. I'm learning a new coaching method to tap into this wisdom. It's nothing crazy...just deliberate breathing, light body movement, and journaling. I've found it powerful for myself. And I'm holding three spots for free sessions to practice and prove it's efficacy. What to expect: - 50 minutes of guidance - Gentle movement of your body - either seated in a chair or on a yoga mat/towel on the floor (your choice) - High likelihood of fresh thinking that clarifies your path forward. Message me if interested.

Active Imagination is a powerful tool for self-discovery and personal transformation, making it a valuable technique in Jungian coaching and therapy. Here is the process for how Active Imagination can be practiced: Steps to Practice Active Imagination: Relaxation: Find a quiet place and relax your body and mind. Focus: Bring to mind a recent dream, image, or feeling that stands out to you. Engage: Allow the image or narrative to unfold. Engage with it actively, asking questions or interacting with the figures that appear. Express: Use creative means to express what you experience. This could be through drawing, writing, or any other form of expression. Reflect: Reflect on the experience and the insights gained. Consider how these insights can be integrated into your daily life. Active Imagination is a powerful tool for self-discovery and personal transformation. Managing self-talk is vital to your success in any endeavor. We all know the value and necessity of staying hopeful, positive, and optimistic about our lives, especially during times of high levels of uncertainty. When we remain hopeful for our future, we stay out of survival and scarcity consciousness and allow our higher thinking functions to add clarity and creativity to our thoughts. Positive thinking means thinking and talking about the things you desire. Negative thinking is thinking and talking about the things you do not desire. Positive thinking and being positive is an extremely important aspect of the Silva Method as well as life in general. It seems that many people take this for granted. They allow that inner voice or monkey mind to interfere and take over thus preventing them from creating their best future. For some people it's easier to complain rather than offer solutions. I"m sharing an 18-minute video training with some tips and tools to help you take command of your inner dialogue so that you navigate your life with grace, ease, and in flow with your intuition. For Silva graduates, it'll serve as a helpful reminder. https://lnkd.in/eKNaq8jk
