Can design make you feel secure and confident about money? At Jupiter, we know that money is extremely personal. People find it hard to talk about and harder to trust others with their money. That’s why one of our primary goals is to build trust, promise transparency, and stand by it. All our design decisions revolve around making our users feel secure. It’s only when they feel secure about their money that they can confidently make the right decisions about it. In the sixth and final article of our series, "Designing India's Most-Loved Financial App," we delve into the principles of transparency that help us build trust with our users. Finally, I gathered the confidence to present one of my grand visions to the team. During yesterday's strategy session with the clean energy enterprise team, a member of the design team asked me an interesting question: Olawale, how are you able to contribute to business strategy, contribute to product design, and offer valuable insights to the tech team? My answer to him was simple: Preparedness is the Secret. I went ahead and seize this perfect opportunity to share one of my grand visions, which is my deepest desire to build a successful business that not only addresses current problems faced by communities but also offers sustainable solutions that will last for generations. My aim for such business enterprise is to create something that will outlive me, impacting even the fourth generation after me; just like my mentors. When asked about my proficiency in design and my ability to contribute meaningfully to the tech team's efforts, I explain why these skills were not innate but learned. I added that i have a certificate in product management and product management from Coursera & Designu, these institutions have provided me with invaluable training. This training has equipped me with the knowledge and skills needed and prepared me for the tasks at hand. I advised on why it is important to always prepare oneself for where you want to be. Let your target be your future self, whether that is in five or ten years. Do not conform to what you have or who you are today. Aim higher, think ahead, and always stay prepared. Preparedness is crucial. We must always be ready for the next challenge, even before it arrives. I got 4 leads in the last 22 days while my account was facing restrictions. This is an unbelievable thing for me. After 7 days when my account was under restriction, I got a message on my Behance profile. This lead is from my connection. I got his message and we talked about my account restriction. She is so supportive. She was in my connections too. Then we talked about the service she needs. After doing all these I converted her to my client. That's how I converted her. Then I got 2 more clients through Behance. And 1 lead I got on my WhatsApp that lead is my best friend 😁. Now the real point is how I am getting these clients? As you guys know I also have my company page on LinkedIn. I put my Behance link there and through that link, clients are reaching me. This page is working for me as my second plan. Ok, when my account was under restriction I was like so much demotivated for 5 to 6 days. Then I realized a thing when you've built an authority in the crowd, a loss of account can't kick you out from the track. I said to myself this is my first failure and challenge for my company. I faced it for 22 days. And yes my company also had a backup plan if my account remained restricted. Always remember when you believe in providing value to build yourself no one can stop you.
