Do you know a student who is passionate about the environment or wants to gain experience working at a local non-profit? Help us spread the news about our new internships for the Spring 2025 semester 🌍 There are the three internships we're hiring for ⬇️ PAID Clean Energy Internship ➡️ With billions of climate action dollars now available to businesses, nonprofits, and local governments, you will help PEA and our community accelerate local clean energy projects–like solar energy and electric vehicle adoption–through research, public education, and community outreach. We need a people person who also loves to dig into policy. Outreach and Events Intern ➡️ We’re looking for a motivated, self-directed intern to help support Piedmont Environmental Alliance's events during Spring 2025. The intern will send marketing and outreach emails, help plan logistics for upcoming events, and support non-profit management, including thank you letters and the PEA database. Environmental Education Intern ➡️ We're looking for an Environmental Education Intern who can commit 5 hours a week for the full academic year to learn and teach Environmental Education Programs in local schools and to build a team of volunteers to provide these programs more widely. Interns must be available at least one day a week during school hours between 8 am-2 pm. By the end of this internship, the candidates will have completed Criteria IV of the North Carolina Environmental Education Certification.
