💡 The Basel cryptoasset rules coming in January 2025 are about to reshape the landscape for crypto lending. While the intent is clear—mitigating risk—what’s equally clear is the impact this will have on bank capital availability for lending against digital assets. With higher capital charges, the availability of real capital for crypto lending may be severly impaired. This shift presents both a challenge and an opportunity. If banks can't channel resources effectively, there are tremendous opportunities for those that can successfully bridge the gap.
