It's finally come to that point in time where I'm keen to hand over some of the reins for Junction Point CIC 💙 Scary, exciting and hopefully 'freeing' so I can spend more time on development & the stuff I love... and respond to some of the lovely requests for tea & a catch up!! ☕ This is not a junior post, I am looking for someone with experience they can draw upon to hit the ground running. Due to the nature of our current contracts this is a fixed term position. We're seeing this as an opportunity to trial the post ahead of making a permanent role in spring 2025. As I type this I have two poorly kids and a task list as long as my arm... I cannot wait for this person to start so we can get a bit more balanced and remove me as the(self-made) bottle neck. *EDIT: I've had a few people emailing about whether this could be a remote role. Recently, I was in conversation with a hiring manager who bluntly asked me: “𝑲𝒊𝒑, 𝑰 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒂 𝑪𝑷𝑶 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂 𝑪𝑯𝑹𝑶. 𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝒅𝒐 𝑰 𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒆?” For the record, a CPO (Chief People Officer) typically has a larger remit and handles more than just traditional HR, but the definition is loose. But this is not the only job function that has some nuance to it. Some companies have a Chief Legal Officer, or CLO, while others stick to General Counsel. Then there’s the subtle difference between Customer Support Manager and Customer Success Manager.
