Hey folks, followers, and artistic types. There's a lot of shake up in the arts world right now. I can personally say I follow a lot of engine developments and with the struggle being bigger than perhaps it has been in a long time I'll throw in my lot with Abstract to bring something fresh and worth investing in here. I've used InstaMAT, their 3d materials authoring program, and if node based is your thing then I'd be keeping a browser tab open for this. There's a lot of you that reference learning new tools (or keeping up with them at least) in your advice, and so for me, I'll be looking at spending some time with RSX Engine if/when I can before public release. I work primarily in a quasi stylized workflow leaning towards higher detail materials. If you're (also) seeing in advice posts that you should find something unique...a niche to fit, then this may be a good move for you as well. Super excited to see the possibilities and case usage scenarios. Repost perhaps if you're on the same page? That goes for cinematographers, photogrammetry folks, established artists, new entry levelers, etc. #gamedev #gamedevelopmemt #new #cinema #3dart
