Gird your Lions: Persuasion Provocation brings you all the news from Cannes 24 Like flu season, Cannes seems to come around earlier every year. But love it or hate it, where else would you get David Droga on the same bill as Queen Latifah? Like the self-sacrificing do-gooders we are, we’ll be toughing it out in France’s most iconic resort town to give you the skinny on what the industry hive-mind is obsessing over this year (for the love of God, let it be something other than AI). As Amazon, Google and Meta take over the beaches again, forcing us all into a tech-bro summer, we’ll hunt down a shady spot (hopefully somewhere with air conditioning and free snacks), chain ourselves to a laptop, and send you the reports from the ground. So, sign up to receive the Persuasion Provocation newsletter in your inbox each day with all the latest news, winners, themes, trends, and tips du jour from Cannes, not to mention the gossip on the haves, the have-yachts, the have-bigger-yachts and the have-way-way-way-bigger-yachts. If it sounds unmissable, that’s because it is. Allez, salut maintenant. The preparation of this year's Serbian Internet Domain Day conference was quite interesting in terms of promotion and relations with the media, because one of our key speakers was a person who does not exist. How we communicated with the media what was supposed to be a secret and a surprise at the event, what challenges arose during the realization of the event, how they were solved and what results we achieved can be read in the interview below. #pr #publicrelations #eventmanagement #blink_event_&_pr

This came out a few days ago. Some of the best clients I have understand the value of good PR counsel. They are those that involve us early in the process of decision-making and sometimes even ideation. It might seem intuitive that one shouldn't start selling tickets before they get the necessary approvals to hold an event, but businesses often face huge commercial pressures, so much so that people sometimes do not see all the angles and potential problems. PR folks, like legal folks, are most effective when they are embedded into such decisions so that they can highlight potential issues, and provide scenario mapping so that leadership teams can make informed decisions, which usually means they are prepared for contingencies. PR isn't just a marketing tool, nor is it for spinning the truth. The most effective use of PR is to prevent the wrong things from being done in the first place. Thanks, CNA and Erin Low, for seeking my views on this. #publicrelations #communications #businessadvice https://lnkd.in/gvPqpjbf

When working on major festivals, attractions, or hotels, we typically like to prepare this 👇 A concise Story Ideas Document. It's usually just two pages. It features a brief client overview. And a bullet point list of 2-3 sentence story angles. We use it internally for drafting our media pitches, During follow-up calls, Or sometimes we’ll even link to the document in an email. This approach ensures we offer diverse, tailored pitches to spark journalist interest while supporting our client's mission. P.S. What methods do you use to streamline your pitches - whether to a journalist or prospective client? Share your tips below. #PRStrategy #MediaPitching #StoryIdeas #PublicRelations #MediaRelations

Marketing and PR go hand in hand - they're different, but they complement each other. As such, babelMonkey and In Tune PR work together often to provide holistic solutions for their clients. It is often said that we are naturally drawn to work with people who share similar values. One of those Darren and Sarah share, apart from a mutual appreciation of each other's talents, is the spirit of generosity. So, thank you, Dazzle, for this dazzling testimonial for Sarah, babelMonkey, and our services. "For all the reliance that digital marketing can have on reams of statistics - likes, follows, impressions, clicks, etc - at heart, it remains an art. Crafting messages, posts, and blogs meaningfully and authentically is a human art at that, and one where AI, however advanced, will never go. Sarah is a master of words, of meaning, and of engagement for the clients who wisely choose to use the services of her business, babelMonkey. She is also an original thinker, with social media 'evergreen plans' just the tip of the iceberg of her capabilities. I am myself a highly-regarded writer, and I cannot successfully replicate the content that Sarah creates for those evergreen plans. Yes, I admit it. I am jealous. Sarah is also just a great person to work with and brings a refreshing sense of fun to the way she works, along with professionalism and solid delivery. If you are thinking of talking with Sarah and babelMonkey, don't hesitate. You will enjoy the experience." https://bit.ly/3GCT8DW #digitalmarketing #socialmediamanagement #contentcreation #PR #PRservices #bromley #bexley #contentmarketing

What a terrific un-advertisement. In my public speaking skills coaching and speaking, I'm always helping people find unique ways to grab attention. These folks do it through absurd complaining that touches upon so many of our own complaints about travel. Will it win over everyone? No. Will it boost Oslo tourism? Betting it will in huge numbers! What do YOU think? And can you see how this unusual approach could work in a keynote program too? http://PublicDynamics.com for those who want to speak as cleverly as the folks behind this advertising.

Travel PR has seen a huge amount of evolution and change in recent years, but there's one trusty companion that refuses to fade into obscurity: the good old press release. However, it's not the automatic hype-machine it once was. Today, the personalised touch of pitching is the most effective way to grab journalists' attention, and still holds its ground when wielded correctly, offering a valuable tool in your PR arsenal. In our latest blog we examine how to craft a successful press release that will drive results, with tips from the Lemongrass team and Roxhill Media Travel Club. https://bit.ly/3Uijnph
