Cannabev Fanatic | CEO of a soon to be named THC beverage | Launching in select states Q1 2025
The cannabev category can support a lot of diversity in liquid. I get questions like “what do they taste like?” The cannabis ingedient is typically 0.5 mLs in a 355 mL beverage. So essentially, it will taste like the base liquid. Drop that into a cold brew coffee, drop that into water. The taste of the final beverage will differ dramatically. Cannabev is only a category because of regulations. I view these compounds more like ingredients. We don’t call it the caffenie category, do we? If you’re starting a brand, you need to be one of two things to make it worth the effort - 1) the best in the sub-category (category as defined by you) 2) the cheapest So if you’re making a cannabis cocktail, you need to tell me why you’re better than everyone else doing it. Show me a creative new angle, like MAGIC CACTUS has done and you’ll get my love and attention. The 🌵 doesn’t taste like many, and flavor is subjective. It’s a got a margarita vibe. What got me? The combination of low sugar, flavor, THCv and electrolytes. I can drink this anytime and drink 5 of them without a second thought. I’d get bored drinking fruity waters, and too much delta 9 THC can make me either sleepy or an annoying over talker. Another product I’m loving is Creek Water Botanicals. Kris Kooi grows the hemp himself in NorCal, and packs a whopping 65 mgs of functional cannabis minors in a carbonated hop water. If you’ve never handled hops, I can tell you it’s a very close cousin of cannabis. I’ll drink the CBG rich SKU after lunch to lock in to my tasks and meetings, and the hops give me the placebo effect of tricking my brain Im drinking a 🍺. First, I want to say congrats to the makers. Taking a swing at alcohol is necessary. Second I want to say LET'S GO! These flavors and combinations sound delicious. It will be interesting to see where Hemp lands legally. We need these drinks everywhere. Gas stations, restaurants, golf courses, lounges etc. Right now the Country is in flux legally. Big canna wants THC distribution to happen in their ecosystem. I believe that is prohibitionist behavior. Let's get these drinks at my state fair and sports venues.
