The 2025 F1 Academy calendar has been revealed, with three new venues announced as part of the seven-round, 14-race championship. So how does it stack up? As with this year's series, all F1 Academy races in 2025 will be official support to Formula 1 and will be broadcast live, which is fundamental to continuing to increase the visibility of the series both to fans at the race and those watching at home - with the championship broadcast in 160 territories worldwide. Of the three new venues announced for next year, the headline is certainly the season finale in Las Vegas, which will make F1 Academy the first single-seater support series to race at the venue. This will no doubt bring increased opportunity to shine a light on the series at F1's most spectacular event of the year, but for me also hints at what I think is the most significant development in next year's calendar. At six of F1 Academy's seven rounds in 2025, they will be the only single-seater support series on the bill, which is twice as many as in 2024. This exclusivity and avoidance of a clash with F2 and F3 is important for two reasons - it should lead to more favourable race times for a global TV audience, and less competition for track time. Track time for young female drivers is critical, given the lack of opportunity they have versus their male counterparts, which is why it is also encouraging to see the number of test days increase to 15 for next year, compared to eight this season. Despite launching in 2023, this year felt like the year when F1 Academy really arrived - not least because of the number of significant commercial deals that were struck and the official support status that was agreed with F1. Next year can be a confident step forward for the series, beginning with the release of its Netflix docuseries, as it continues to pave the way for greater representation at the top level of motorsport. #f1 #formula1 #f1academy #womeninmotorsport #motorsport #sportsbiz

German Formula 1 circuits are hoping the sport throws them a lifeline in 2026. Currently, with motor racing financing and fan interest having slumped in the country, neither Hockenheim nor the Nurburgring are on the bustling annual F1 calendars these days. However, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has been quoted by DPA news agency as hinting that a potential solution could be on the horizon. #GermanCircuitsHopeForF1RotationSchemeFrom2026
