German Formula 1 circuits are hoping the sport throws them a lifeline in 2026. Currently, with motor racing financing and fan interest having slumped in the country, neither Hockenheim nor the Nurburgring are on the bustling annual F1 calendars these days. However, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has been quoted by DPA news agency as hinting that a potential solution could be on the horizon. #GermanCircuitsHopeForF1RotationSchemeFrom2026

How F1 stops BILLIONAIRES from joining 🤔 Formula 1 is protected by what's called a super license. Check out the full video on my YouTube channel. Racing has a lot to do with funds. If you had 40 crores lying around, some basic driver requirements could allow you to compete in Formula 2. It's a junior series just one step below Formula 1. A super license is what's stopping just anybody with funds from stepping into Formula 1. First you need to tick all these boxes. (Add a list of all the different points) Next, you need to collect what's called super points. Championships offer super points based on where you finish in the season. Here's a list for various championships and the points you'd get. You need 40 super points in just 3 years. If you collect 10 points each in year 1, year 2, and year 3, at the beginning of year 4, you lose the first year's points. And so you'll need to collect those points again. Once you collect 40 points, you attain a super license, and you're eligible to race in F1. But there isn't any guarantee that you'd get a seat. If more than 3 seasons pass without you being part of F1, you will lose your super license. Felipe Drugovich won the F2 title in 2022, giving him enough super points. But he's still not in F1, and if he fails to get a drive in 2025, he may lose his Superlicense. Fulvio Conti and I explored the British Grand Prix from Williams Racing and Visa Cash App RB F1 Team's point of view. Here is a sneak peek of the two articles: 🏎️ Williams: The performance of the car can be determined by the asphalt itself. The Silverstone track was resurfaced with a new asphalt mix before the British Grand Prix in order to address the microbumps issue. Thus, the teams were not forced to raise the ride height of the cars, which put an emphasis on the quality of the aerodynamic maps. 🐂 Racing Bulls: The rear of the VCARB01 car is a replica of the rear end of the RB19 car. The only thing that the Faenza-based team can do is to slightly modify the front and rear wings or to mount the beam wing. Daniel Ricciardo is having a rollercoaster season so far but he is among the drivers who are in contention for the second Red Bull seat. It is heartening to see that the world of motorsport, one of the the most technically advanced sectors, places so much value on the knowledge and experience that 'oldies' can bring to the table. Perhaps those organisations that are struggling because they lack experience and knowledge should take a lead from the very demanding and competitive sport that is F1?

Domenicali exclusive - What does F1’s future look like? https://lnkd.in/dpXbwCUm If the 2024 season has taught F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali one key lesson, it is that it is impossible to predict with any certainty how things are going to turn out. While many were talking back in March of Max Verstappen potentially winning all the races this year after his dominant start in Bahrain, it did not turn out that way at all. In fact, with seven different winners from the first half of the season, something that has not happened since that crazy start to 2012, the stage is set for a wide-open battle for victories – and the constructors’ championship at least - after the summer break. Domenicali never joined the doom-mongers at the start of the year, as he was always convinced that the combination of the cost cap and aerodynamic testing restrictions would eventually serve to close things up. Speaking in a wide-ranging interview with Motorsport.com to discuss the state of F1, Domenicali explains why he thinks there is a great opportunity now for grand prix racing to continue riding the wave of popularity that erupted following the Liberty Media takeover. (...) He has always been open-minded about things; aware that what is viewed right today may not be true for tomorrow. So just as Verstappen’s dominance was not set in stone from the off, so too must F1’s longer-term future be viewed as an ever-evolving thing.
