Let’s find out with these three simple steps: 1️⃣ Onboard to an affiliate network like Impact.com if you haven't already. Already on an affiliate network? 👉 Check to see if coupon affiliates (e.g., Honey, Coupon Cabin, Coupon Annie) are active in your program. If you spot them, 🚫 remove them. 💡 Remember: Coupon partners and loyalty partners (like Capital One Shopping and Rakuten) are very different! Keep the loyalty partners, if you ask us 😉 2️⃣ Check if your press features are linked to affiliate links that direct to your website. How? 👉 Go to a recent press feature of your business, click the link to your website, and check the UTM source. If the UTM source or medium includes “affiliate” or your affiliate network name, you're tracking! ⚠️ If a press feature links to a retailer like Amazon or Neiman Marcus, you’ll have no insight into that feature’s performance. 3️⃣ Pull weekly and monthly performance reports from your affiliate network. Don’t just look at high-level revenue and traffic 📊 — focus on specific coverage and publisher performance. Brand-affiliated revenue is difficult to demonstrate in your attribution reports And it leads to a much lower blended CAC. If your business can sustain a lower CAC than your competitors... You’re basically guaranteed to beat them (so long as operations and finance do their jobs). 🧩 I'm NOT against brand-affiliated revenue, it's simply more difficult to measure.
