I have two home offices in two different countries. Before anybody starts screaming that "you can only have 1 home office. It's where you pay the rent. It's where your HOME is." let me tell you why I don't consider working abroad in Germany as remote work... Currently, my fiancé and I are living in two different countries. We try and split the time together evenly between Germany and the UK, but due to his nature of work, he's very inflexible and can only visit for the weekend or on holidays. 💔 Even during my study days, I've been spending multiple weeks in Germany, just to spend time with him. He's living in a small village with nothing to do but hiking trails. We don't go out and explore exciting sights, new restaurants, or immerse in cultural experiences after the workday ended. Being here means working, cooking, cleaning, and grocery shopping as per usual - just in a different country. 😅 Thanks to SDRs of Germany remote policy and flexibility from previous employers and uni, I always enjoyed the benefit of working from anywhere. 💙 And without the freedom to do so, I'm sure that our 7-year relationship would've been a lot trickier. Hence, I look at the sudden shift back to full-time in-office arrangements with a critical side eye. 👀 Remote or hybrid arrangements like this are what helped many employees improve their personal lives and relationships over the past years. Instead of rigid rule enforcements, wouldn't it be better to introduce more flexible arrangements that work for both the employee and the company? What are your thoughts on this? 🤔 #sdrsofgermany #remotework #remote #sales

🌡️Temp check: Are you all in or all out on remote work policies? Remote work gives me the freedom to be productive wherever I’m most inspired - whether it's my home office, a local café, or a beach halfway across the world. I'm hearing from past colleagues that some employers are demanding a return to the office 3-5 days a week or face being without a job. But why the ultimatum? 😟 IMO, this feels like a step backwards. Forcing people back full-time ignores the lessons we've learned and the progress we've made. It's short-sighted and out of touch. Don’t get me wrong, it's not about ditching face-to-face interactions entirely. It's about finding that sweet spot where everyone thrives. Flexible work environments = Happy teams = Better business results. #RemoteWork #WFH #Marketing #ContentMarketing #Tech #WorkingMom

🌍 Remote Work: The Haymarket Affair of Our Generation 💪 In the late 1800s, work was an exhausting marathon: 16-hour days, six days a week. Events like the Haymarket affair of 1886 in Chicago marked the beginning of a fierce battle for workers' rights, pushing for an eight-hour day. This was about more than just cutting hours; it was a bold stand for a better quality of life. Over time, these efforts led some companies to adopt the five-day workweek by the 1920s—a benefit we now take for granted. And there’s no turning back. ⏳ Today, remote work is our new frontier. Some big corporations push us back to offices, dangling “hybrid” setups that often fall short. Even two mandatory days in-office can tie us down, limiting our freedom to live and work where we thrive. 🚀 Since joining Athyna, I’ve had the chance to work from incredible places like Rome, Paris, Edinburgh, Valencia, Krakow 🌆—to name a few—and I don’t plan on stopping. This freedom has been transformative, adding richness to my life and fresh perspectives to my work. Just like the five-day workweek transformed the lives of our ancestors, the push for remote work has the power to redefine our lives—creating a lasting impact on our freedom, productivity, and overall well-being. This is an opportunity we cannot let anyone take away from us. #RemoteWork 🌐 #FutureOfWork #DigitalNomad 🌎 #ProductivityBoost 📈 #WorkLifeBalance ⚖️ #WorkFromAnywhere #FreedomToChoose #HybridReality #ModernWorkRevolution #AthynaLife

‘How’s the working remotely going?’ This is my most asked question when chatting to anyone these last few months and the truth is that it changes from week to week. You can tell by my face that I haven’t been out of the house this week and by Friday afternoon, I’m feeling a bit of cabin fever! Too much screen time this week, so I’ve planned in some remote working next week at The Fold and booked in a visit with a client, and have a remote meeting off site with some of my colleagues, so I can already feel that next week will be much better. I’ve just got to get better at planning my week, but also it’s important to highlight the ups and the downs. How’s your week been? #remotework #wfh #recruitment

Traditional 5-day office week is becoming popular in Ireland again. 💼 The pandemic taught us a lot about the future of work, with remote and hybrid models becoming the norm. Many employees embraced the opportunity to relocate to the countryside 🌳, enjoying the peace and flexibility of working from home 💻. Now, some companies are requiring employees to return to the office full-time; it’s sparking conversations once again. In our recent social media poll, we observed that most people prefer a hybrid model (56%), while 24% would like a 4-day workweek. Only 15% prefer to be fully remote, and a mere 5% are in favour of the traditional 5-day office week. What about you? 💭 Have you returned to the office full-time or stuck to remote work? 🤔 #FutureOfWork #RemoteWork #HybridWork
