Alexis Bertholf ✨ is spot on! It's pretty easy to get wrapped up and work long hours or log on at night to catch up on things. It can be hard to appropriately separate work & home life when they're so tightly integrated. I've been a remote worker for nearly 14 years now and you have to actively work to separate your work & home focus it won't just happen on its own. If you primarily work from home, what are some of your tips to avoid burnout?
PTO is even more important for remote workers. (more people need to be talking about this) As much as I love the benefits of work from home... - no commute - comfy clothes - fewer distractions When your house becomes your office... It's much more difficult to separate work & life. It's hard to relax, even on weekends. Mentally, you're always on. Work from home guilt (logging back on at night if you feel like you didn't get enough done during the day) is REAL. Just because you aren't physically in an office doesn't mean you don't need time away from work. *slams laptop shut til Monday Happy 'merica week 🇺🇸 P.S. What's your favorite way to unplug?
