"AI doesn't have the heart of a reporter", said Timo Lokoschat in an interview with the media magazine turi2. The Deputy Editor-in-Chief of BILD emphasized that artificial intelligence has already become a staple in the daily editorial routine at BILD but is only used to facilitate time-consuming tasks. This integration allows journalists to dedicate time to the exciting and creative aspects of their profession: engaging with people, conducting research, and crafting stories. The introduction of their digital assistant Hey_ last fall has significantly engaged with readers, answering more than 25 million questions since its launch. This tool is managed by reporters and is not seen as a rival to their journalistic efforts. Instead, Hey_ offers a more personalized interaction with readers than a traditional article might provide. Ultimately, Timo Lokoschat maintains a firm stance that the unique qualities of human reporters are irreplaceable by AI. ___ #BILD #ArtificialIntelligence #AI #Technology #AxelSpringer #ASAllstars

As a social media user, what concerns me most is the rapid growth of image and video-based AI when media literacy is at an all-time low. In an environment where legal regulations cannot keep up with the advancements in this technology, I can see us being driven only deeper into the ever-growing separation of echo chambers where nothing is true, and facts can be manipulated on an unprecedented scale. Anyway – check out this AI-generated buff frog! #AI #SocialMediaStrategy
