On our journey towards B Corp certification, we became aware early on in the process that being part of the movement and the B Corp community was going to be incredibly powerful. Several other SMEs, who had either been through the certification, or were in the process of doing so, were more than willing to share their insights, time and passions with the team at Anglepoise on all sorts of different topics and challenges. The first result of this collaborative way of working for us is the JEDI MATTERS Collective, of which Anglepoise is a founding member along with Pip & Nut | B Corp, Lucky Saint | B Corp™, Cawston Press | B-Corp™. We've based our collective on the JEDI framework from B Labs but we want many more of you to join us (and you don't have to be a B Corp). Today we’re out on the river celebrating #EODay! A whole year since RFA’s directors announced they’d be transferring shared ownership of the company to the rest of the team. Here are just a few ways the move has been a gamechanger for us all… Clients know we’re committed – having a stake in the financial future of the business has changed the way we see every project and deadline. Clients have always trusted us to deliver great service, but now they know every one of us is as invested in the success of their brand as they are. We have a new direction – now that decisions are increasingly made by the Senior Leadership Team and overseen by our elected Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) board, there’s been a palpable shift in mindset. A sense of proprietorship that’s made us focus more intently on the kind of company we want to be. We’re now in the process of rebranding to reflect these values and strengths, so watch this space. We’ve adopted a growth mindset – becoming an EOT has emboldened everyone to think more creatively. From our Big Ideas forums and AI Innovations Team, to skills workshops and wellness events, there’s a renewed sense of energy and enthusiasm that’s feeding into everything we do. Everyone has a voice – becoming an EOT has fostered a more collaborative approach to the way we work. From giving junior members a platform to share ideas, to accommodating neurodivergence, everyone has the opportunity to shine. Looking to the future, every day – our newly established AI team has already developed some truly ground-breaking innovations we can’t wait to demo for clients.
