For the team-sport athlete, it isn’t too difficult (pending a coaches ability) to make technical and physical changes in both acceleration and max velocity running when we separate these into 2 separate categories. What can be most challenging is how they tie these 2 components together in initially having a EFFECTIVE and EFFICIENT acceleration to how they can then climb out of this to be effective and efficient with their upright top speed running.
