Yuk crew. G'day Crew, I'm Oscar Pelizzon and welcome to another episode of Tube TIME Tuesdays. Well, I'm a couple of weeks back from an incredible trip to the Mentawai Islands in Indonesia with a great crew doing some leadership, surfing perfect waves and just hanging out and chilling on a tropical island. And on the flight back, I want, I, I reflected on the actual trip and, and I thought, you know what? I want to share a key take away from that trip, one that's a key to success in life and in business. So as I said. I was enjoying my time surfing and soaking up the sun. Sorry to rub it in. And and I had a reflection on what made the trip so successful. Of course I couldn't control the weather or the waves, all the AirAsia flight schedule. But I realized that it was the things that I could control that were the ones that made the biggest difference. And I'd prepared well. I ordered the right gear, right boards, right fins, a pack major, I packed all the essentials and I stayed physically fit through a regular training, swimming and surfing. And that level of preparation allowed me to make the most of every opportunity on the trip. Surfing four to six hours a day without injuries and capturing credible memories that will stay with me forever. Now, as business professionals, we all wanna maximise our outcomes. Just like I did on my holiday. And the key to doing that lies in planning and preparation. The success we achieve is often directly related to how well we prepare. So let's breakdown the three key benefits of preparation in business. First, reduce stress and increase confidence. One of the biggest challenges many of us facing businesses stress Whether it's speaking in front of an audience, negotiating a deal or managing a big project, the pressure can feel overwhelming, especially if we're not adequately prepared. Think about the fear of public speaking. And the root of that fear often lies in a lack of preparation. If you haven't rehearsed your speech, if you don't know your material inside and out, that uncertainty translates into stress. The same applies to business meetings. Walking into a meeting with a clear agenda and goals allows you to focus on delivering results rather than worrying about what you might miss. Preparation reduces stress and more importantly, it boosts your confidence. To improve performance and credibility. We offered admire people who make things look easy, whether it's an athlete or a business leader, there's a sense of all when someone performs flawlessly. But here's the secret. Very few people wing it. And succeed consistently. Behind every seemingly effortless performance is countless of hours of preparation. The more prepared you are, the more smoothly everything will go. Being well prepared also enhances your credibility. When you come across as knowledgeable and well prepared, others are more likely to trust you and credibility in business. Business is invaluable and preparation is one of the fastest ways to build it. And finally, maximise opportunities and results. The ultimate goal of preparing is to achieve better results. You're putting yourself in the best possible position to succeed. Opportunity doesn't knock twice. When you're ready, you're able to seize the opportunities and to make the most of them. One of the biggest step benefits of preparation is that it clarifies your message. When people understand you clearly, they're more likely to engage, collaborate, and ultimately help you achieve your goals. So I remember, just like my holiday, the more I prepared, the more confident I felt and the more I enjoyed the experience. In business, same applies. When you're prepared, you're not only setting yourself up for success, but you're ensuring that you can enjoy the process. Confidence, self belief and reduced anxiety are all side effects of proper preparation. The more you prepare, the more successful and enjoyable business and the outcomes of business will be.
