Introducing onsemi’s positive impact initiatives: Dollars for Doers and the Giving Now 200% Match campaign. onsemi DE&I(Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) Committee selected monthly themes to carry out volunteer and donation activities. These activities involve selecting a theme and volunteering at relevant organizations. Depending on the participants and the activity hours, the company donates a certain amount. Additionally, if employees individually donate, the company matches 100% of the donation, effectively doubling the contribution. From this September to November, we are conducting volunteer activities and donation campaigns with Intergeneration, World Food Day, and STEM theme. A proud achievement is that, as of the end of September, team Korea had the highest number of participation in the Intergeneration month donations. The Dollars for Doers activities will be created a video along with the October item and posted on YouTube soon. Stay tuned!

We're over here at Nonprofit Growth Advisors geeking out over the latest Generational Giving Report! 🤓 Each generation brings something unique to the table, and thanks to our friends Qgiv by Bloomerang, we’ve got the scoop on how to engage them: Gen Z (18-27): Super connected and mission-driven! They love peer-to-peer fundraising and sharing nonprofit posts. Meet them where they are by providing easy-to-share content and hands-on volunteering opportunities. Think in-person and hybrid events with lots of social media interaction! Millennials (28-43): The subscription generation! They’re big fans of recurring giving and want to stay in the loop with regular, non-fundraising updates. Share monthly impact stories and program highlights via email and social media to keep Millennials engaged and connected. Gen X (44-59): Loyal and ready to roll up their sleeves! Gen X is the most likely to serve on committees or boards and participate in peer-to-peer fundraising. When there’s an urgent need, this generation steps up. Create leadership and volunteer opportunities to leverage GenX and their passion for giving back. Baby Boomers (60+): Transparency is key! This generation wants to know that their dollars make a difference, so be open about where funds go and the impact they create. Monthly updates with client stories and program outcomes help Boomers feel connected and invested. ➡️ Across all generations, focus on regular updates that aren’t always about asking for donations. Share impact stories, client updates, and stories (of success and challenges!) to keep donors authentically connected to your mission. 💡 It’s fascinating to see how each generation plays a unique role in philanthropy! How does your organization tailor its approach to generational donor engagement? #GenerationalGiving #NonprofitTips #DonorEngagement #Fundraising

Fascinating research by marketing agency Eden Stanley suggests there’s a big opportunity for charities if they can better engage older supporters on social media. According to their survey, while a lot of Baby Boomers use online channels most days, only 14% of those that do so are posting about causes. Overall, 30% of the UK population post about charitable causes, with Gen Z and Millennials the most likely to do so at 44% and 43% respectively. Eden Stanley found that what drives people to share their views varies with age too, with Millennials sharing their views about good causes on social media to express their values, and older generations primarily wanting to raise awareness of issues. Better engaging older audiences could help charities reach a wider audience – and have a greater impact on public policy, the agency suggests. Not usually one to post on social media, let alone Linkedin, this is something I feel particularly strongly about 🚀 Earlier this year, I found myself speaking to a room full of my colleagues, about the importance of inspiring more rangatahi to pursue STEM. A pertinent question from the audience led me to reflect on what I could personally do to inspire the next generation. With T+T’s support, I signed up to be an ambassador for the Wonder Project. I was paired with Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Ngā Mokopuna in Seatoun. As a reo language learner, this was a daunting challenge. However, it provided a great opportunity to engage directly in increasing visibility of STEM to a wider group of students. While the scarcity of te reo resources was flagged as a significant barrier in teaching STEM in a Kura Kaupapa classroom, the Wonder Project team had translated all resources, allowing us to teach the course fully in Te Reo. Over six weeks of Term 2, together, we built a bottle rocket. The students' curiosity, excitement and enthusiasm for learning was infectious. Not long after our final launches, Christopher Luxon stood in front of the nation, and painted a pretty grim picture of the state of STEM education in Aotearoa. He highlighted that 76% of Year 8 pupils were lagging a year or more behind in maths, with only 8% of low-decile school students and 12% of Year 8 Māori pupils at par with curriculum standards. Christopher, myself, and no doubt many others agree – STEM education in our country desperately needs investment… That’s why I was so shocked to learn that the Wonder Project lost its funding. Christopher argues that “we won't be the world leader in agriscience, or advanced aviation, or artificial intelligence, if our kids can't do maths…". However, I would argue, it's equally important to fuel curiosity and foster excitement for STEM among our rangatahi. Because “let’s be realistic” - we don’t land on a career designing expressways in Northland or erecting wind farms in Taranaki because we “mastered the basics”… We pursue a career in STEM because science is exciting and fun! And that is why programs like the Wonder Project are so important. Let's carry forward the momentum of this awesome kaupapa, getting kids excited about STEM 🚀 https://lnkd.in/gBdacJSE
The Wonder Project needs your help 💙 Unfortunately, we're short of the funding we need to deliver our loved, impactful STEM programmes to Aotearoa schools in 2025 💔😔 Like many others, we’re feeling the effects of the current economic climate. We’ve had an incredible rōpū of organisations step up to support our mission since we lost our government funding in 2023. But we still need to raise $100,000+ to keep the wonder alive next year. How you can help 💙 Donate: Make a personal or organisational donation to our fundraising campaign. Every dollar counts. Donate now >> https://lnkd.in/gWPEdmwF 💙 Partner: Packages start at just $5k and go a long way to supporting Kiwi kids with STEM. View partnership options >> https://lnkd.in/gRdGvq7h 💙 Share: Times are tough for everyone, so if financial support isn’t for you, help us spread the word as far and wide as you can. Download shareable assets >> https://lnkd.in/ggGUNQYD We’re so grateful to our wonder community, backing impactful STEM education for rangatahi. Let’s keep the wonder alive, together.

Think about what you've seen on this platform or others that has made you consider a different approach, reach out to a friend or buy another organizing container...and how you can intentionally harness that power to support a person or cause you care about. Love to hear how you've experienced the power of social media to impact the change you want to see.
🚨 GoFundMe’s HUGE new report, “The Social State of Giving,” is filled with so many impactful donor insights, revealing how supporters of different ages are sharing, discovering, and advocating for causes online. And while generational differences in philanthropy are evolving, it’s today’s younger donors who are showing us where the future of giving is headed. Half of Gen Z shares causes or fundraisers at least once a week, while their Millennial counterparts share them monthly and Gen X shares them occasionally. They’re responding to what others are sharing as well. 41% of Gen Z say that social media content has motivated them to research or donate to a cause, while 25% of Millennials and 20% of Gen X are motivated by what they see on social media. As more people passionately share and champion causes online, nonprofits will need to build stronger social media strategies that resonate with their audience. Don’t miss out on engaging your supporters in meaningful conversations! 👉 Explore the full report to dive deeper into these insights and learn how to best connect with donors across all generations: GoFundMe.com/socialgiving

🎉 November: A Month of Giving at Feruni! 🎁 This November, the spirit of giving and unity lit up Feruni with three meaningful events, reminding us of the joy that comes from making a difference. Here's a look at what made this month truly special: 🌍 1. Fabric Donation Drive In collaboration with Kloth Circularity, we aimed to collect 300 kg of fabrics for repurposing and redistribution. But Ferunians went above and beyond, gathering a whopping 1,500+ kg! The collected fabrics will be graded and repurposed into merchandise, crafts, or gifts, or distributed locally. This initiative also marked the final chance for teams to earn points for our leaderboard, adding a fun, competitive spirit to the cause. Thank you to everyone who contributed between 8th - 22nd November—your efforts are inspiring! 🧠 2. Neurodiversity Awareness Talk We were privileged to host Ms. Grace from Enabling Academy, Yayasan Gamuda, for an enlightening lunch session. The talk shed light on the importance of embracing diversity and fostering inclusivity for all, including individuals with neurodivergent abilities. It was an eye-opening session that encouraged us to be more accommodating and supportive, both at work and in life. 🎄 3. Gift a Smile: Christmas Gift Donation As we gear up for the holidays, Ferunians came together to pick names of children from 10 homes we’ll be hosting at our HQ this December. Each child’s name came with a personalized wishlist, making the gift selection process as joyful as it was competitive! To top it off, the best-wrapped gifts will earn extra points in our fun committee score. ✨ November has been nothing short of magical. These events showcased the incredible camaraderie and generosity of Ferunians, coming together to make an impact and spread joy. Here's to more inspiring moments as we close out the year! 💖 #FeruniCares #FeruniansInAction #MonthOfGiving #Inclusivity #Sustainability #SpreadJoy #MakingADifference

As the world’s largest online fundraising platform, GoFundMe and Classy are always studying new trends on how people donate, and creating solutions to make giving easier and more impactful than ever. Recently, we uncovered exciting new patterns in the ways supporters of different generations choose to give, share, and interact with causes they care about. You can read the full report on our website, but here's some of what we learned about Gen Z: As the first generation of true digital natives, Gen Z is unsurprisingly more inclined to support their favorite causes online. They stand out as the most active generation donating on social platforms. However, beyond giving, Gen Z views social media as a way to advocate for the causes they believe in: 🫶 Gen Z is 10x more open to sharing that they donated on social media than Boomers. 🫶 In fact, 46% of Gen Z surveyed believe people should share donations online to help spread the word and inspire others. 🫶GoFundMe research shows that every time an organizer shares their fundraiser, this can help drive an $100 toward their goal, on average. Read the Social State of Giving report and let us know in the comments what resonates with you and your community: https://gfme.co/408jp7I
