Everyone’s got an opinion about how you should be doing things. And there’s always someone out there who might be doing it better than you. In our most recent interview, coach Renée DeVore shares more about how she avoids the comparison trap by blocking out the outside noise and focusing on her values, strengths, and belief system. As long as your values are aligned with your work, you’re most likely doing something right! Opportunities exist in the most unusual places.
Coach: Physician: Senior Clinical Leader: Board Chair: Honorary Professor of Medical Education and Healthcare
There are times when our skills and knowledge need additional support. “You have done the prep; you have met the people; you have the training, and the skills set, but the interview is still looming large. How would it feel to take a fresh look at the process, increase your presence and ability to stand out on the day? Coaching can bring a whole new perspective to the most important skills we have at our disposal. How to show up as our authentic self and get the most out of a 2-way dialogue. Prepare for interview with a short 4 session programme that helps enhance self-awareness, performance, and allows you to enjoy the process itself as formative”. #InterviewNerves #CoachingforClinicians

A soundbite is a safe harbor - a place to jump to when you get a tough question. It is an anchor - a pillar around which to build all of your messages for a media interview, a keynote, or an all-hands. It is an earworm - a powerful droplet of thought that latches onto the mind of those who hear it. Want to be a great speaker? A great interview? A motivator? You need a few great soundbites. I’d love to help you create some! Use the link below to book an Office Hour with Lisa and we’ll brainstorm together to create what may be the soundbite that anchors everything you say for the rest of the year! #Business #coaching #communicationskills

Feeling Vulnerable: My First Video Interview 🎥 Today, I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and sharing my very first video interview. As a coach, there’s often a perception that I’m immune to nerves and vulnerability. But the truth is, like everyone else, I experience these feelings too. This interview was a reminder that growth happens when we embrace our fears and challenges. I felt a mix of excitement and anxiety, and it was a humbling experience. It reaffirmed for me that it’s okay to be vulnerable. It’s okay to be nervous. That’s where the magic of growth lies. Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me throughout this journey. I hope this video inspires you to take that leap, face your fears, and step into your own spotlight. 🌟 #personalgrowth #transformativecoaching #proudmoment

Discover the power of Reflective Practice; an approach similar to self-coaching that encourages positive, constructive self-talk and self-assessment. In this video, I explore how taking a moment to reflect can help you ask yourself important questions after key experiences, whether it’s a job interview, client interaction, management conversation, or even a presentation to the board of directors. Learn how to ask yourself: 1. What happened and why? 2. How did I feel, and how did I respond? 3. Why did I react the way I did? 4. What can I keep doing, and what can I improve? Reflective practice is a valuable habit for personal and professional growth, enabling you to navigate difficult conversations, gain insights into your behaviors, and drive continuous self-improvement. Remember, keep it honest, positive, and constructive—just maybe not on the train home! Enjoy developing your reflective skills and start enhancing your self-awareness today!
