When I asked Amir Soltanianzadeh and Tal Wenderow at LSI Europe '24 what innovators should do (and not do) when approaching investors— they had a lot to say, but their biggest takeaway was clear: Focus on the relationship first. This clip highlights a few of their suggestions and there were some other interesting tips in the full session (available below). A few takeaways: 1. Start Small & Build Relationships. A simple conversation with the person next to you can lead to valuable connections. Focus on forming relationships before jumping into your pitch. 2. Wait For Them To Ask: Investors get pitched constantly. Sometimes a little pull back (no pitch) is the best pitch. Get to know them genuinely first and wait for them to ask what you do. 3.
