What you do daily matters! In sales, it's said that when a potential client doesn't make a decision to move forward with the purchase they still made a decision. When your team is hitting on all cylinders they have made the decision to be all in on the daily non-negotiables. When your sales team is struggling, there's two people that decided not to put in the work daily: 1) Your leadership team - through inspiration and accountability 2) Your sales consultant(s) on their non-negotiables I've worked with enough sales teams across the country to tell you this...it's a culture thing and not a skill thing. The skills definitely need to be improved but your culture needs to be starved of complacency, lack of accountability, negativity, ego, and fixed mindset. It's easy to get into a rhythm where most of your week is: - Spent in internal meetings - Running reports - Traveling - Putting out fires A big part of what makes Garrett so successful is looking at his week through these two filters: 1) What will make my team better? 2) What will make my customers better? If it doesn't make one of those two categories, it's hard to get time with him. He knows when to push back. Identify what internal meetings he won't add value to. And prioritize high-value areas to spend with his team.
