*Long Post Alert* We are #hiring. We are looking for a *Generalist*. Disclaimer: this is not a cofounder position but never say never. Experience no bar. Few points to note about our way of working: 1. We work in a flat org structure. No one is above or below anyone else. People just know something better than the other in certain areas and strive to expand their knowledge in other areas. So if you are looking for power and prestige or looking to create dependencies, please pardon. Eveyone gets respect proportional to the value they add everyday without disrespecting others. 2. The whole company is the Founder’s office where everyone works towards furthering customer / users interest and create value for them. 3. Each of our team members understands that we need to constantly keep adding/creating value in some or the other way. Creating value everyday should not be a pressure for you if you want to fit our culture. Ok, now what is a Generalist. It is exactly what it means: do everything along with the Founder and the team that is required. A mental model for self-evaluation to save yourself some time: 1. How can I do everything: I do not know x,y or z? Never did that so can’t do that. I don’t have experience for y. 2. Sounds as easy as a stepping stone: I have got x CGPA, I am from x tier 1 or 2 college. I have worked in Faang, Maang, Bhaang etc. I can do everything so let me apply. 3. Let me check if I can get WFH here. 4. Sounds challenging. I wonder how much I will be paid* If any of the above came to your mind, you have already given up on this opportunity and will not survive here. So what is required really for this position? The ability to identify problems-learn about the context-generate solution options-‘Mindfully’ execute the shortlisted options-measure results and improve. And do this everyday, relentlessly, in all domains required, in a disciplined and organised manner. There is *no source of motivation* here and the position is not for the faint hearted. You need to be disciplined not motivated. You will be subject to pressures of the REAL World! *Its *not* an unpaid position, although once people prove they can add value, we exceed our employees expectations. Its not a trick question so be straightforward. Mentioning experiences supporting your view will get more points. To the point, short answers get seen faster.
