Interesting insight into cellar management thanks to Wye Valley Brewery Ltd. It's so vital that everyone in the chain understands the nuances - if the beer doesn't look right don't serve it - it could be an issue with a cask, the beer, or the cellar, let's not make memories for the wrong reasons. The less cask ales on the bar the better - there is a far higher likelihood that they are going to be fresh. 🙏 https://lnkd.in/eSuNgHbY

This is the last Members Spotlight of the year 🎄and we couldn’t think of a better way to round things off than by shining a light on Brew Monster. Since its launch in 2017, Brew Monster has been on a mission to bring exceptional craft beers and real ales to South Wales. What started in Cwmbran quickly grew into something much bigger, with the brewery relocating to a new home in Caerphilly in 2021. The move was a game changer, complete with a shiny new brewhouse and a taproom that offers panoramic 270 degree views of the brewing magic. Visitors can sip on freshly poured pints while watching the brewing process in action, and it doesn’t get more authentic than that!🍻 Brew Monster isn’t just about brewing beer; it’s about creating experiences. Their core range has evolved over the years, blending old favourites with exciting new additions. And let’s not forget their one off keg specials, which keep beer enthusiasts guessing and coming back for more. The brewery also knows how to host a good time, with a vibrant calendar of events like open mic nights, pub quizzes, and comedy evenings. 🎤 Whether you’re there for a tasting session or a brewery tour, you’ll leave with a new appreciation for the craft and likely a few bottles or cans of your favourites in hand. What sets Brew Monster apart is their commitment to bringing people together over a shared love of quality beer. Their Cardiff city centre brewery tap and micropubs across South Wales are buzzing hubs for craft beer fans and curious newcomers alike. Whether you’re a seasoned ale aficionado or just dipping your toe into the world of craft brewing, Brew Monster makes everyone feel welcome. Hey brewers, wondering how to get your brews in the hands of more craft beer lovers? Expanding your licensee base is a great place to start, because: - Folks visiting restaurants and bars may be more willing to try a new beer by the pint than committing to buying an entire case. - Restaurant or bar licensees may have tapped into a community or audience you haven't engaged with yet. - Distributing kegs to licensees can be more cost-efficient and produce better profit than selling packs of bottles or cans. Here are 5 key, actionable steps you could take right now to begin growing your licensees: https://lnkd.in/gJ3tT8Wf #craftbeer #craftbrewery #beer #beverageindustry

Feeling the pressure of competition from other beverage alcohol categories, plenty of breweries are wondering if the best way forward is to join' em rather than trying to beat 'em. But adding an entirely new category to your business is no easy cash grab, and requires pre-existing passion, know-how, and other leverageable assets like space or equipment. To dig into what success looks like for breweries adding distilling to their operations, I spoke with Finback Brewery + Halftone Spirits, and 450 North Brewery & Brix Haus Restaurant for Craft Beer & Brewing's Brewing Industry Guide. https://lnkd.in/gJ6XQWmS

Behind the Scenes at the Brewery: The Power of Blind Tasting Today at Rolling Mills Brewery, we held a blind tasting session, a practice that always reminds me of the incredible importance of sensory training in brewing. Blind tasting is more than just a fun exercise—it's a vital tool for brewers and anyone involved in the beer community. By removing labels and preconceived notions, we’re forced to rely solely on our senses to judge aroma, flavor, mouthfeel, and overall balance. It’s an invaluable process that sharpens our palates and helps us stay objective and grounded in our craft. For brewers, sensory evaluation is not just a skill but an art. It’s about understanding the intricate nuances of each ingredient and how they come together in harmony—or sometimes, discord. This training is crucial in maintaining consistency and quality, ensuring that every batch reflects the true character of the beer we intend to create. But blind tastings also serve a greater purpose—they bring our community together. It’s a celebration of beer in its purest form, allowing us to share knowledge, challenge our perceptions, and, most importantly, connect over a shared passion. These moments reinforce why we do what we do and highlight the importance of continuous learning and appreciation for the craft. Cheers to the sensory journey and the endless pursuit of brewing perfection! #Brewing #SensoryTraining #BlindTasting #CraftBeer #BeerCommunity #BrewingScience #BehindTheScenes #Mumbai #Pune
