🤯 One of the things I love most about working in PPC is that there is always something new that will blow your mind. In the past couple of weeks, these are a couple of things that fall into that category - you think you know everything about a specific tool or area, and then someone comes along and flips it on it's head. Using Google Ads Editor - Bob Meijer showed that you can download a HTML file from Google Ads Editor that lets you show off your account set up in a simple & interactive way. Super useful for talking clients through the new campaigns you've set up, without the complexity of the Google Ads UI. Quality Score - Roger Cooney shared an Adalysis study where they've reverse engineered the factors that make up Quality Score to show you how the different metrics ladder up to the overall score. Are other users making changes to your Google Ads account without your knowledge? You can use a Google Ads Script called "Change History Alerts" to receive email alerts whenever someone else makes changes to your account. You can setup it in 9 simple steps. The process is straightforward: 1- Go to "Tools and Settings" 2- Go to "Scripts" 3- Click the plus button 4- Copy and paste the script from https://lnkd.in/dyxK5-aW 5- Create a spreadsheet and paste its link in the script on line 18. 6- Add your email address in line 19. 7- In line 21, add the email addresses of users for whom you don't want to receive alerts (e.g., your own email). 8- Click Save and then Preview. Authorize the script. 9- Go back and schedule it to run daily. That's it! You've set up the script. Now you'll receive emails whenever other users make changes. Especially because Google Ads Scripts has its limits. With many accounts in your MCC, this script might take ages to run. Plus, it doesn’t monitor 24/7—hourly at best. And your clients' results are more important than that. And let's not forget, that people running Meta or TikTok Ads face the same problem, with no solution in sight. Google Ads recently made a major change to search query matching, which is the way Google matches the search terms that users enter into the search engine with the keywords that advertisers have selected for their ads.
