Announcements: Copilot + Agents (what you need to know ...) Today Microsoft announced the next level of AI capabilities for business, under the banner "Copilot + Agents". There is a lot in this announcement about moving beyond chat experiences to using agents for business process transformation. We are heading towards building and working with agents that can act autonomously, as well as more role-based agents that can handle tasks for us. What is the difference between a "Copilot" and an "Agent"? ✨ Copilot is your AI assistant. ✨ Agents have specialised skills. You build agents. ✨ Copilot studio is the low code tool to build agents. ✨ You can extend Copilot with any agents you build. What is an "autonomous" agent? 💠 Agents can range from very simple task/process automation through to fully autonomous. 💠 An autonomous agent doesn't use "if this, then that" type logic. You give it inputs, instructions, knowledge, and required outputs. It starts with a trigger, and works through the logic at run time using all that. It can escalate to a human where it needs to. 💠Copilot Studio is the low code tool to build autonomous agents. The new capabilities coming to do this will be available in preview around Ignite (mid November). 💠For a great example to help you understand what an autonomous agent can do - watch the video from the launch announcement here https://lnkd.in/g_tnG6NB from 28:20 - 33:52 (this is a demo of a McKinsey agent that processes and allocates incoming leads from emails) Dynamics 365 Agent Announcements: ✔️ 10 new agents will be built into Dynamics 365, covering roles in sales, service, finance and supply chain. These agents each perform a specific task inside the Dynamics 365 application. These will be in public preview late 2024 / early 2025.
