Quite the list of products announced today at Connect, including the incredible prototype Orion AR glasses, Meta Quest 3s, updates to Meta AI, and the new Llama 3.2 model. As we make major advancements in this technology, it’s important to ensure responsibility keeps pace with innovation. As Mark mentioned, we remain optimistic about bringing these tools to everyone, globally. https://lnkd.in/gNZsM_3R
This is great progress Nick Clegg!
I can speak for most of the photographers on the platform when I say that more context is needed when it comes to C2PA metadata and how it's displayed to users.
Many photographers trek for days to capture the perfect light and then add some basic color corrections in Adobe Lightroom and then get flagged with the dreaded "AI Info" marker.
This can have big implications for conservation photographers like Cristina "Mitty" Mittermeier and others who are working to relay real life stories but are questioned due to the broad C2PA labelling that is currently in place.
I excel as a Social Media Strategist, Digital Security Expert, and Technical Support Specialist, with a focus on Optimizing and Securing Social Media Landscapes for Individuals and Businesses.

At Connect 2024, Meta introduced Llama 3.2, bringing new vision capabilities and lightweight models that can run on mobile devices. What’s notable is their continued emphasis on safety, with Llama Guard Vision helping to moderate both text and image inputs. Meta is also working with MLCommons to build industry standards for risk mitigation in AI.
Their commitment to open-sourcing the Llama models and collaborating with the broader community shows a thoughtful approach to responsible AI development. It’s interesting to see how Llama 3.2 will influence future AI advancements.
