In the era of autonomous software evolution, feature flags will be first-class citizens. Can you guess why? :) Stay tuned for more updates from us at Codemod on how we help progressive software teams to automatically cleanup their stale flags. In the meantime, if your team is wasting time on ff cleanups, ping me! I can help.
Continuing on our journey to make feature flags a first class citizen in software engineering workflows, and the Vercel platform in particular, we're now shipping "suggested flags" for branch previews, and cryptographically secure sharing links to opt-users into flags. This allows you to share your not-quite-ready work securely with your colleagues and stakeholders https://lnkd.in/gY2rjTFD

Speed, accuracy and the ability to scale are perhaps the three requirements I hear customers need most from their #identityverification partner. This was definitely the case for the team at Crossover , who turned to Veriff to provide cost-effective #fraudprevention measures that would enable them to quickly vet a large number of applicants and confirm that those making it through to the testing stages and beyond were genuine candidates. Listen to Andrew Allen, VP of Marketing, describe what that looked like: https://lnkd.in/eb4Y25Dk

#MENTORS!!! Thanks for the reminder, Michael! Your degree gets you in the door, but it gives you little help staying employed! FIND YOUR MENTORS!! The important things you learn in your career are seldom printed in a textbook.
I was going through some old papers at my parents’ house today and came across this brochure from my first software job. These guys were the absolute best mentors anyone could want. Thank you Dan McCreary Pete Clark Tim Dawson Mark Mendel Steve Kenny Steve Johnson and Randy Marchessault for taking a chance on this long-haired musician turned programmer!

Lots of teams, when launching a new product or technology, spend a lot of time getting ready to get ready. They spend weeks or months putting the technical infrastructure in place to support the entire product, then futz around with authentication for what seems like forever. The problem is stakeholders don't care. They want to *see something working*. My completely unscientific suggestion based on years of being guilty of getting ready to get ready: 💪 Spend NO MORE THAN TWO WEEKS on technical infrastructure. Timebox it. Avoid Parkinson's Law. Give yourself an impossible deadline. 💪 Immediately thereafter, GET SOMETHING WORKING in the first two-week sprint. Something that delivers value to a user. Login doesn't count. (Stakeholders don't care about login. They want to see the beginnings of the heart of the product.) If you have trouble figuring out how to carve off a small slice of something valuable, REACH OUT TO ME. I'd love to help you - no charge, no obligation, and all that. I've never met a user story I can't split into 3 days of work, start to finish, and I have a personal mission to teach as many people as possible how I do it. 🙂
