Dear Friends, the talk at Museum of Goa this Sunday would be fun! It is slide show & personal experience and anecdotes based commentary on the Everest Summit Climb. Then I will share the "7 Lessons from Everest" which is also the title of coffee table book which I wrote after the climb. It is NOT about technicals of mountaineering, but more about the lessons I earned during this life changing expedition and how they apply to any serious challenges anyone is tackling in life. Everest is just a metaphor for seemingly insurmountable goals. However, if an ordinary person like me can make it to Everest top, it is proof that anyone can do anything! The lessons have also been converted to a management training program - "Mission Everest". It is a done over a day typically where a virtual climb of Everest happens and lessons emerge even when doing this in a conference setting! Imagine what happens at a high altitude and low temperature setting over 7 weeks!! Several organizations such as Unilever, DHL, MG Motors are using this. The latest one is Century Papers. This one we took just before we started for the Temple Darshan 🌞 The majestic view set the stage for our Darshan 🗻 There are many life lessons that I have learnt from the Great Himalayas. ✅ First is all about focusing in the present. Life is about simplicity and all simple things in life. If we focus on our breath and live every moment to the fullest, we will never face challenges to move forward. ✅ Secondly, if you run a business, you should learn to consciously rid yourselves of accumulated and unprocessed information. The less untangled your business processes, the better the growth. Sometimes there are fallbacks in a business. That’s ok. Just getting your business into the position to pursue that one goal may take a lot of time, effort and perseverance. So don’t be surprised or worried. Just keep going and you will get there. Life is really about moving beyond what we already know, be it in a classroom, an operation theatre, a desert drilling oil or in a business.
