The Georgian Energy Sector Reform Project (GESRP) funded by the #EuropeanUnion completed its three-day Media Mentorship Programme on #EnergyEfficiency and #RenewableEnergy in Kakheti, for #EnergyReporting in Georgia. The programme was primarily for journalists, producers, and media professionals, to help them improve knowledge and skills on energy-related topics. Participants actively engaged in workshops covering dissemination strategies, visual storytelling, legislative updates, and the integration of energy matters with #economicsustainability. 📢 📽 Thematic group Q&A sessions, facilitated by experts, encouraged meaningful interactions, and offered insightful perspectives crafted to align with media standards and expectation. Participants created media products on key topics like energy performance of buildings, association agreements, integrated energy and #climateplan, #GreenHydrogenStrategy, #EnergyMarket processes among others. The top three outstanding products will receive rewards as recognition for their excellence and contribution to informed public discourse. 💬 ⤴ The GESR Project, technically supporting the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, managed by KfW development bank, is working towards capacity Building, and energy efficiency for buildings, laying the foundations for increased Renewable Energy and promoting a more open and competitive power market facilitating future trading to strengthen the country’s #energysecurity. The Media Mentorship is one such way in which GESRP is shaping the future of energy efficiency and renewable energy in Georgia. 🇬🇪 #MediaDevelopment #PublicDiscourse #EnergyMarket 💡

I am excited to share our latest #research paper, which was presented and published at the #PLEA 2024 conference in Poland. Titled "Exploring the Potential of #Energy Savings Through Retrofitting Traditional #Heritage Buildings: A Case Study of Abu Jaber House in Al-Salt, Jordan," the paper investigates the positive impact of retrofitting heritage buildings in climates like Jordan's while also exploring the benefits of integrating solar panels to meet energy demands. We also address the potential negative implications of #retrofits when not guided by a strategic plan. Just published - analysis of an online survey with participation of more than 10,000 citizens from 19 European countries! The main objective - opinions, expectations and doubts of European citizens regarding the possible and preferred forms of their involvement in the energy transition. By signing the agreement, public authorities pledge to use ePLANET’s digital tools to share harmonised information, enhance decision-making, and ensure consistent implementation of renewable energy initiatives.
